As the President just mentioned, I am the longest serving member of the TSC Board of Trustees, having first been elected in 2008. I was also a student here many years ago.
Today, it warms my heart to see so many new opportunities being created to help students who are dedicated to getting their education because they understand just how important it
is to finding success in their lives.
With this new partnership with Texas A&M in place, TSC students will have an incredible opportunity to expand their educational horizons here in Texas, find careers that they are passionate about, and create better opportunities in their lives.
My fellow Trustees and I support partnerships such as this because we are certain that it will greatly benefit both our current students and future students for years to follow.
I would like to extend my most sincere appreciation to everyone from TSC and from Texas A&M who dedicated their time and effort to make this agreement possible. By working together, now and into the future, we will continue to create an abundance of new and exciting opportunities for our students.

Do the TSC board members have term limits? If not, they should. Term limits are considered best practices for all types of corporations and organizations. Colleges and universities should develop term limit policies that outline the term limits for each board seat and the maximum number of consecutive terms that a board member is allowed to serve. However, here it appears that Adela Garza after serving sixteen years is following the term limits of Supreme Court Justices.
what have you done in 18 years? so you are taking credit for what a&m has wanted to do for some time? typical local public official, only good at taking credit where credit is not DUE. quit let somebody else take over. This was not your idea is was a&m's.
I hope you had a chance to watch their monthly board meeting via livestream... it was a joke.
