SURVEILLANCE CAMERA THIEF I.D.'D: (DRUM ROLL) ADDICT JAMES J. NARANJO

(Ed.'s Note: The person above person has been identified by one of his family members as James Joshua Naranjo, a person they say is a hardened coke addict who fancies himself a "guardian" of downtown Brownsville.

The incident occurred on March 3 at the 1200 block of E. Washington Street, according to a release from the Brownsville Police Department. So far, no arrests have been reported in the case.

We learned that a relative, one of his sisters, called one of our eight Rrun-Rrun readers apologizing for the dude's actions.

They said that he’s a drug addict getting a Social Security check for psychological disabilities that include exhibiting multiple personalities. He, they said, would do and say anything to get high.

He lives downtown and the relative gave our reader his address. The information was passed on to the Brownsville Police Dept. and they say they are on the job and are looking for him to arrest him for the theft. His relatives hope that he can be placed in a rehabilitation program.

So far, Naranjo has posted on his Facebook page that he is armed and rolling through the streets of Matamoros with his like-minded pals, and sometimes goes live a few times a day brandishing what looks like a gun on his hip stating that he’s guardian of downtown Brownsville and is ready and willing.

He has his last name "Naranjo" tattooed on the neck.

"A sus órdenes," is what he says on his FB posts.)

Who is monitoring all crazies roaming the streets of our country? This individual definitely raises a red flag. Our country needs to go back to mental institutions. Anyone medically determined to be in need of mental help should be automatically institutionalized and provided the help they desperately need. We have come along way from the mental institutions of days passed. It takes a sick individual to kill himself/herself and others. However, the human rights advocates will differ so the mass killings will continue.

Typical Brownsville PD. Give them all the information to do the job and they still come up with excuses. For eco estamos como estamos.

This is how the police make many arrests: a good person reports the crime.

Arrest him right away because this gives ideas to other criminals to do similar acts to confuse the police force.

People like Naranjo are weak. The weakness starts when they don't say "no." Survival of the fittest.
