And Brownsville supposed to be the safest city in the USA? Bunch of billshit!!!!! We have a part time police chief and equals to total mismanagement of the police department. Way to go for "Total Alignment ".

Central Blvd. is the current atrocious/dreadful place in town. Wear body armour if you have to go anywhere in that area.

Eyyy Manny T and J Reyna, was this the Sheriff's fault also??? Asking for a friend..... ches babosos
Whats up , MAYOR COWEN. What’s happening?? To busy at mural ceremonies and voting on more hike and bike trails for commissioner Gowen. Isn’t the safety of Brownsville and its citizens one of your top priorities?? Where’s the CHIEF OF POLICE? At a city luncheon performing his duties as assistant city manger?? Your lackadaisical approach to our town’s safety is not working. Car thefts galore, drugs everywhere and now SHOOTINGS?? I understand shit happens and crime exists but where are our towns efforts in PREVENTION AND DETERMENT OF CRIME??? Where are our increased police patrols. Mayor Cowen / city commission , you guys are dropping the ball, our town is not the sleepy town it used to be. If this isn’t a wake up call , I don’t know what is!!!
Kudos to Sheriff Eric Garza!
We'll all sleep better tonight, Juan.
heh heh
I'm moving to Matamoros where it's more saferππππ
Chicanos acting like negroes.
It is the new generation: violent, gun holders, abusive, killers but unable to escape the Brownsville police.

No que no avia una vieja? Meskins fight only when their viejas look at another meskin, there is no other reason. IDIOTAS!!! gringos know that very well...
that spoke person, a vieja, that spoke for BPD on TV must be dating the chief. I could hardly understand what she said. CAN'T ESPIQUILI INNGLISH! come on man get a professional that knows how to speak to the public.
NO TIENEN VERGUENZA BOLA DE MAMONES
as it is BPD's creditability is in the toilet and continues to crap on the citizens.
BPD is in complete chaos in regards to public safety. Very few patrol officers on the streets compared to a years ago. Then they have a part time police chief that is too busy performing duties other than law enforcement. This city is going downhill on public safety very quickly unless the city Commission takes appropriate action and hire a full time Police Chief.
@3:16PM.....Hear, hear!!! I couldn't agree with you more.
18 year old women
20 year old man in love
17 year old passionate young man in love with a gun
19 year old best friend driver that wanted to help his crazy friend in love
To have so much energy, time and youth for such behavior........priceless.
The stories you will not tell your children and grandchildren.

NEW PROFESSIONAL PUBLIC PRESENTOR FOR THE QUICK TO NOT ACT BROSBILLY PULIS DEPARTS.
@9:30AM.....Because it's perfectly normal for a 17 year old to use a gun because his advances were rejected by a girl he likes. Only in a town inundated by stupidity would this type of behavior be looked upon as a joke. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way immune to humor, but the fact that the education level in this town is so low is far from funny.

Octavio Saenz now works for the IRS, before for TxDot and before he was working for Telemundo, and Channel 4.
He knows how to speak and is bilingual.
This comment has nothing to do with your posting, but I wanted to share this information.
Felix sauceda has sent a clear message to the criminals of Brownsville, you are free to roam the streets and commit as much crime as you wish as I will leave the streets free of police and it’s perfectly ok to shot and kill my cops. I don’t care about my cops, as a matter of fact I envy and despise some of them cause they may be better looking than me. This good for nothing chief has turned the Brownsville police into one of the worst departments to work for. Before sauceda, this department was one of the best, especially when Chief Rodriguez was in charge. By reducing the amount of cops on the streets, he has created a free for all criminals environment. I would like to blame it on the president or the progressive left, but all the credit goes to felix. When the hell has anyone heard of so many shootings, murders and stolen cars? Only now during saucedas tenure. Could it be that the guy is not as smart as he thinks he is? Or maybe he’s just incompetent? Or maybe it’s all of the above. What do you expect from a ticket writer, cause that’s all that peacock chested motherfucker ever did. Its time to fire this asshole who has no idea how to run a police department and hire a chief that knows how to do his job. I think porter high school may need a cheerleading coach. Maybe it’s time to stop the photoshoots and concentrate on police work and keeping our city safe asshole! Oh and kicking an officer out of your office when they go talk to you about retiring is so fucken unprofessional of this asshole, but yet again you show your true colors. Fuck you piece of shit felix sauceda
mr sauceda does a press conference for a bisd involved shooting at porter in which a student with a stolen car drives away and a bisd officer shoots at him, but felix takes the opportunity to make it appear that it was an active shooter and claims that his swat team acted promptly to stop a threat that was never there and claims victory, but he can not even do a press conference to announce that one of his officers was shot and almost killed. mr sauceda prefers to keep that incident as quite as possible, but the fact is that one of your officers got shot and you do nothing, like the coward and corrupt chief that you are. i hope that this officer's family sues the fuck out of felix and city for reducing the amount of cops on patrol and making it so unsafe for police officers to do their job. not to mention that felix decided that it's ok to shoot cops in brownsville and no charges will be filed. i guess next time a cop shows up at someone's house, the homeowner can just shoot and claim ignorance because felix says it's ok to shoot his cops. there is no doubt in my mind that felix sauceda has run the brownsville police department to it's lowest level. worst chief ever!!!!!
I'm for random searches of vehicles and individuals. But that would be an inconvenience for most. As for the gun, you have a better chance in surviving from a gun attack versus a knife. The knife is quiet, close and personal.

You are right. But, the craziness of love and youth is a big factor. The problem is when a man is in his 40, 50's 60's and acts the same way as this 17th year old.
The parents are the ones suffering. They gave their best to their kids and the kids did not learn.
The Black /African American parents talk to their kids and tell them how to behave when stopped by a policeman.
I have seen young guys here in Brownsville, how mature they behave when stopped by the police. They are placed on the edge of the street, seating down, while the officers does his paperwork. The kids look at peace. The parents probably tell them to be calm, not argue with the officer and just get the traffic ticket.
