EARLY VOTING TURNOUT FOR RUNOFFS LOW ACROSS 2020-2024

(Ed.'s Note: Traditionally, early voting turnout for runoff elections has been low. And the turnout in the current runoff elections for the Texas Southmost Collee and the Cameron County Appraisal District is no different.

Surprisingly the turnout or the Democratic party in 2020 is almost identical to the early-voting turnout in this years non-partisan runoff for TSC and CCAD. Four years ago, the early voting turnout for the first three days was 1,315. The turnout in the current TSC and CCAD for the first three days was 1,397, only an 87 vote difference.

Candidates in the races have ben campaigning for months to represent you in these positions. Do your part and vote today. Early voting started this past Monday and ends Tuesday, June 11. Election day is Tuesday, June 15.)

I couldn't believe Friday the last day of the month, I went to purchase my registration at the new Southmost Tax Office. There was a the longest line ever and only one window open. After 2 hours in line I finally got to the window. I saw a lady cutting her fingernails and I asked the clerk her name and she said, Olga and the other gentleman just sitting there doing nothing, name was Villanueva this people were having the time of the lives, just laughing and joking around while I wait for two hours for my registration. This isn't right. They wasted so much money for the building for better service and it's worse. And where is Yzaguirre out on a conference and you call the clowns in the main office to complain and nothing happens. Good thing he didn't win. We're still getting the same bad service with more new offices. Thank you, Commissioners for supporting this type of service in your precinct.

I can not believe this. During the summer, people have so much energy, fun and activities going on. People love working during the summer: everything is so relaxed. Maybe they need to hire more employees or they called in sick or they took a holiday with the kids.

The elected officials first order of business is to hire none qualified workers they hire their voting and family buddies and at higher salaries. Any-where you go if it's a public office you will meet these unqualified workers, all related to an elected official that YOU voted in. YOUR PROPERY TAXES AT WORK.
