CITY CREWS PAVE HERITAGE TRAIL IN TIME FOR SCHOOL

(Ed.s Note: A big congratulations to the combined city engineering and public works crews under the direction of Assistant city manager Doro Garcia for repaving Heritage Trail in the nick of time for the start of school. Americo Paredes Elementary traffic and in neighboring subdivisions has been vastly facilitated after the improvements. At a cost of $220,000 to city taxpayers, it was well worth the price tag. Way to go guys!)

I agree with 2:55 on the part of not forgetting about the barrio streets. We also pay taxes is also a true statement. The day Brownsville streets are fixed in their entirety then we can all say “WAY TO GO GUYS”!!!! Until then, i guess we can only say “keep up the good work “.

I totally agree they don't pave the streets, fix the drainage issues or even spray for dam mosquitoes. So what are they doing with all the money they collect from the excessive taxes other than give themselves a raise. Get rid of every city and county politician and bring in some new blood. Politicians that are not as corrupt as the ones currently in office.

City of Brownsville and new boss: do not increase the bus fare. Do not do this to the poor people of Brownsville. You should not have spent money on a new administration office.... Better, make the administrators donate some of their salary to subsidize the BUS system.

Anonymous said...

if the bus fare is increase we than need to vote all elected officials OUT OF OFFICE call and tell them DO IT NOW

Anonymous said...

The meeting to increase the fare is today. Most people do not have a car and can not attend. The City has an evaluation form in their facebook page...most people do not visit the facebook page of the city. Please, somebody fight for the people that use the BUS and have little money for transportation that is why they do not have a car.
