BOERNE, ONLY TEXAS TEAM IN LLBWS, WINS 9-0
Boerne Little League, representing the Southwest region in the tournament, made quite a statement in its opening game at the Little League World Series on Thursday in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Boerne exploded for six runs in the fifth inning to run away from the Mid-Atlantic region team from Newtown, Pennsylvania 9-0 to advance in the winner’s bracket.
Boerne will play the winner of Friday’s game between the Northwest region (Puyallup, Washington) and Southeast region (Lake Mary, Florida) at 6 p.m. CDT, Monday.
