If all the rumors are true , isn’t that lady Gallegos still working for BISD ?? And there’s even a school named after those alleged crooks, so why would the BISD worry about the continued employment of this alleged lowlife pothead ? In a place where the safety, welfare and wellbeing of the children should be the number one priority, it seems the BISD just turns the other way when it comes to some of their non-law abiding employees .And to make matters worse the article's quote states that the children were showing the mugshot at school. If this is true , how embarrassing and disgraceful.

Seems a low blow to tar and feather this lady over a simple POM charge. She is a teacher not a surgeon. The criminalization and prosecution of weed is waste in resource. Weed is no different than alcohol, it's actually less a danger to those who take it (and less to those around who take it) over alcohol. But sure, let's all attack this lady for smoking weed but the teachers who are out there getting wasted on shots at the bar are "ok" because alcohol is legal and weed is prohibited.

What you do in your private life is your business BUT if it affects your employment or they are abuse it or are in the business of selling it then theres a problem. In this ladys case we don’t know the whole story. But 8:32 i agree with you, its just like the people that enjoy drinking alcohol, its cool as long as its in moderation.

Teachers need a salary increase to take yoga classes, buy expensive perfumes, a full social schedule with friends and have nice homes etc to stay away from stress and be happy the natural way. Just work, work, stress, fear, bad language and negative students and parents, LOW salaries....that makes you run for the illegal stuff to control your emotions. Some teachers have doctors that give them medication to be relaxed all the time.
Only the feeble minded use illegal drugs to deal with life.

i'm starting to think people that are very qualified for better pay go for teaching, cuz everybody else does random, drug testing. Except the school districts. Imagine if they require drug testing now, how many teachers will quit? those who can't...teach
