For those unaware, Colin Allred is the son of a local Brownsville girl, Judith Allred. His mother was raised in Brownsville and became a schoolteacher working at Port Isabel High School for a number of years before moving to the Dallas area. Colin's grandfather was a Federal Custom Officer and raised his family a few blocks away from Russell Elementary School in Brownsville. Collin as a young boy spend many summers visiting his grandparents and is very familiar with the City of Brownsville.
