Five of the 11 candidates for a position on the board of the Brownsville Independent School District whose campaign signs are splashed across the city's landscape, have stated in their financial expenditures reports that they have no cash.
Starting with Place 3, candidate Victor Caballero, who started campaigning early this year, reports he has no money and no expenditures. In contrast, his opponent, incumbent Jessica Gonzalez, did file on July 15, 2024, but has not filed her October report. So where did the Caballero signs come from?
And in Place 7, Erasmo Castro and Farley Treviño did not file their October reports, although Castro did file a July report that he had received no contributions. Tim Ramirez and Augustine Anduiza filed their reports as required.

Reasons for some of these candidates not filing are not listed but sometimes some of these people think they are above the law or the rules don’t apply to them. Im not stating that’s whats happening but we have seen this before. If the reasons are because they think the rules don’t apply then ( to me) it raises a lot of red flags about the candidate. If they don’t believe in the rules, then what type of behavior are we to expect from them if elected??? Not a good move if you ask me, but nowadays politics/elections are a crapshoot

How can Caballero, Nelda and Farley have so many signs all over the city yet they have no contributions or expenses. They want transparency but they do not want to be transparent. Get out here!!!

Vote for the good candidates. The candidates that are fair, honest, and with a heart of gold. NO more lousy candidates. We all know who they are: child abusers, killer not helper, and wife beater.
