Most people in San Benito know that chuy is behind all this and Rios is just doing the bidding. So this is basically a win for chuy not the citizens. I believe the citizens should have been allowed to vote on the charter amendments and that would have shown the commission how the citizens really felt about the proposed changes. Now it will never been known.
The amendments will be back but things will be done the legal and proper honest way. I have to admit this is the worst city administration ever. The city needs a city manager who is not so arrogant as seen on videos. Pobre San Benito and such a nice city.
Please clarify, who is Chuy?
San Benito dropped the ball here. How is it possible that one person complained and the judge rules in favor of this person. Only people from San Benito understand this issue.

Jesus(Chuy) Aguilera Jr used to be a good hearted person but he lost his way and became sour. It is said he hold a very strong grudge against the current mayor of san bene. Apparently chuy is still very pissed that the current mayor removed his wife from the San Benito housing authority. But the fact is Chuy and his wife both live in Harlingen for many years. The last city manager found some loophole after digging around for a while and Chuy’s wife was allowed to stay on the board. So apparently they say now he has called in his syndicate and attempting to remove the whole commission and bring in the prior commission back and go back to the old way. That is what is the word on the street.
