I.C.E. RAIDS FORMER B'VILLE MAYOR TONY MARTINEZ'S "BISTRO"

(Ed.'s Note: Add hiring the hiring of undocumented Mexican workers by renters on his property to the various peccadilloes of former Brownsville mayor Tony Martinez. Martinez speculated in real estate, hogged economic development grants for his properties, and illegally discussed and voted to sell himself tax foreclosed properties for personal profit. The hoity-toity "bistro" was employing workers, if reports are correct, who should not have been in the country, much less working.

Property records indicate that Tony still owns the property, but that it was rented or leased to a woman named Sandra Quesada. 

A source who claimed to work there said a cook and a server were taken during the raid and that the owners were vacationing in Cancun with no managers in the joint before or after ICE was there. We have not been able to confirm.We suppose they were also paid less then if they were U.S. workers as well. 

Right now, the I.C.E. raids are the talk of the town. The sanctimonious former mayor (he had a chapel built in his back yard) will probably deny any knowledge of what was going on in the business. This post was first reported by Brownsville News.)
