What they are doing is often wrong since they change the rules as they go but the individual officer would likely be given the benefit of the doubt except for how they do it. Masked thugs in unmarked cars who refuse to identify themselves or even what agency the represent. These agents are answerable to an elected felon and his political appointees for their jobs. Unlike the military, with seasoned senior officers who understand the oath they took to serve the constitution and not the presidency, ICE thugs serve at a politician's whim, and they lack a leadership that will say "No" to power. The felon Trump wants to hire 10,000 more ICE thugs. He is building a private army answerable to him since he can't count on the military to commit unlawful acts for him.
