FEDERAL JUDGE ORDERS ALLIGATOR ALCATRAZ TO STOP TAKING DETAINEES

A federal judge has ordered the remote detention camp in the Florida Everglades known as “Alligator Alcatraz” to stop taking detainees and remove infrastructure added to the original airport site.

US District Judge Kathleen Williams issued the preliminary injunction in a federal lawsuit filed by environmental groups and a Native American tribe who are concerned about the impact the facility will have on the environmentally sensitive area.

The order mandates no detainees beyond those currently housed at the facility can be moved there.

“The project creates irreparable harm in the form of habitat loss and increased mortality to endangered species in the area,” Williams said in the order.

Lighting, fencing and “all generators, gas, sewage, and other waste and waste receptacles that were installed to support this project” and added to Collier Dade Training and Transition Airport must be removed within 60 days of the order, Williams said, effectively shutting the facility that’s become a centerpiece of the Trump administration’s immigration crackdown – which Americans largely oppose.

A preliminary injunction is a temporary order put in place until a court can make a final decision in a case. The state will appeal the judge’s order, a spokesperson for the Florida attorney general said in a a post on X.

“The deportations will continue until morale improves,” Gov. Ron DeSantis’ spokesperson, Alex Lanfranconi, told CNN...

US Rep. Frederica Wilson, a Democrat from Florida, celebrated the ruling, saying on X “it’s about damn time!”

“It was cruel, careless, and destructive from the start and should have never been built,” added Wilson, who represents South Florida’s 24th congressional district. “I’m glad it’s closing, and we must never repeat the mistakes made at this facility anywhere else!”

This lawsuit against the facility is one of two working its way through the federal court system. A second lawsuit focuses on legal access for those detained at the facility.

I hope they build one in the valley. We have plenty of space.

Trump’s days are numbered. Everyone was piling up on Biden for the decline in his health. Well, Trump is on the chopping block. It happens to everyone. Brain- dead, atole brain and other adjectives will describe Trump now. Diaper and catheter-using, Alzheimer’s
and dementia have come home to roost.

They can build a place like that here in the valley. Arizona would be better.

Haaaa! You wish. Why don’t you offer some solutions instead of just blaming the best president this country has ever had? Somehow you have forgotten you lost. Which makes you a loser.

Your words are soooo powerful. Douce bag. You live in a place that is 98 percent Mexican and you still blame whites for everything. Typical uneducated racist Brownsville Mexican. You will never be successful or prosper.

Trump is a sick man, both metaphorically and clinically. The body shows it. The swelling in his legs is no mystery to anyone with eyes: chronic edema, a marker of failing circulation and a heart under siege. His gait has stiffened, his breath shortened. The bruises on his hands line up exactly where IV sticks would go. That isn’t golf clumsiness. That’s a man being propped up with bags of fluid behind closed doors.

And the cover-up is as grotesque as the symptoms. The open fireplace shots are gone. Every appearance is staged with a desk or a slab of furniture between him and the camera, a prop shield to hide the swollen ankles. MSNBC calls it out, and he detonates in fury. That’s the classic Trump pathology: rage as confession. His face turns purple, his voice cracks, and you know right then the story is true. It’s the behavior of a cornered animal, not a head of state.

Even his own tongue betrays him. Recently he muttered, “People say I’m not doing well.” That was the unconscious bleeding into daylight, the private verdict he cannot suppress. It slips out like dream residue, fragments of medical consultations surfacing in the middle of a brag. He can’t help himself. What he hides behind furniture, he leaks through his mouth. It is symptomatic confession, the psyche unraveling in real time.

Just last week he phoned into a Washington D.C. radio station, something no president with self-respect would do, and told the host he might spend the night riding along with the police, maybe the military, maybe even arresting people himself. That wasn’t bravado. That was fantasy. The President of the United States cannot just slip into a squad car. The fact that he seemed not to grasp that shows the depth of the cognitive rot.

Pile on the rest: the fatigue, the slurred rambles about sharks and grass, the two-handed lifts of a water glass like a toddler struggling with a sippy cup. His father slid into dementia at the same stage of life. These things don’t skip bloodlines. The looping phrases, the resets mid-sentence, the blind rages when pressed — they are textbook symptoms wrapped in the costume of power, a necrotic spectacle staggering toward entropy.

And let me in closing just rehash a little story. Picture Mar-a-Lago in its tawdry glory: the mirrored ceilings, the gold trim sweating under the Florida humidity, towel girls drifting by with trays of cocktails. Epstein leans in with that reptilian smirk and tells Trump, “She’s not for you.” Trump shrugs, confused, and mutters, “I thought she was 16.” That’s the scene, the company he kept, the swamp he called friendship. A grotesque cabaret of predation, lubricated with money and menace, perfumed with corruption and dressed in rococo vulgarity. You don’t have to invent anything beyond that image: two predators circling the same pool, one now dead in a cell, the other swollen, stumbling, and broadcasting his own decline to anyone willing to listen.

10:33 AM A whole bunch of you are in denial.

Have you listened to Trump speak about his uncle teaching at MIT back in the 80's. Then he goes off saying that his uncle taught the uni bomber. The uni bomber didn't go to MIT.

Wake up and take a wiff of the old man smell oozing out of his pores. I just felt sorry for Melania. Yuck!

Clear to all has a point. This is Republican territory. There are no Mexican people here in Brownsville. They are all American and now they are Republicans.

Brownsville has always been run by the WASP. It's the way things are. The United States is the same way. Just the facts.

You should feel sorry for yourself because you remain dominated by the democratic indoctrination. Open your eyes and face reality. Your party is a mess. Your party lost and for good reasons.

Mexicans much like blacks need to work on their self esteem. They blame everyone but themselves for their failures.

"Another Democratic representative appears to be speaking without a clear message. The Republican Party's significant electoral victories seem to provoke frustration among some individuals. It is important to note that President Trump secured his position with one of the largest margins in recorded history."
