As the fallout from the firing of Rio Grande Valley Sector Border Patrol Chief Gloria Chavez sends shock waves across the news spectrum, details are emerging for the reason for the investigation and subsequent dismissal of the sector chief.

NBC reports state that as far back as 2023 the two leaders (Chavez and Jason Owen) were seen partying in Jalisco, Mexico with distiller Francisco Javier González of the Tequila Casa de los González, his family’s distillery complex, an NBC report stated.
Photos of the trio began to circulate on social media this February.
According to NBC, a relationship between distiller González, Chavez and BP Chief Jason Owens began when Border Patrol discussed making a Border Patrol-branded tequila for its 100th anniversary.
The questions raised about whether the officials involved divulged their contact with a foreign national – “a requirement for those who receive top security clearances, and whether they accepted anything that could be a violation of ethical rules,” NBC stated in its report.

The investigation of the Border Patrol’s part in this tequila visit was conducted by the Customs and Border Protection Office of Professional Responsibility. The special-issue tequila also included one that featured a photo of a BOP agent who was killed in the line of duty.

According to the NBC report, the relationship between the three dates back to July 2023 when González hosted a party for CBP leaders in Laredo. It was there that the idea for a Border Patrol-branded tequila was allegedly born.
“González is the grandson of the founder of Don Julio tequila, a major international brand, and his family remains prominent in the industry,” the report stated.
The gala event was held still on May 25, according to the USBP website. The Border Patrol-branded tequila was not on the menu. Once the scandal broke out, the tequila was replaced by Kentucky bourbon with a celebratory label (photo above.)
A statement from U.S. CBP Commissioner Rodney S. Scott provided only vague insight.
“CBP does not comment on specific disciplinary actions. We will continue to adhere to our core values: Integrity is our cornerstone,” Scott’s statement read. “We are guided by the highest ethical and moral principles. Our actions must bring honor to ourselves and our agency. Misconduct — on or off duty — by a few distracts from the honorable service of the many.”

Since all businesses in Mexico have to pay the cartels to operate, this is an indirect link or implicit association with a criminal organization as well, allegedly.
Thieving Mexicans...it’s in their blood!
These people need to keep their asses clean. They also need to know who and what they are dealing with. There was a picture of a BP agent who died in the line of duty on a bottle of tequila? Does this mean that some nafarious organization is celebrating his death? I know that if that were my son I would not be a celebrating father.
All agents involved lack common sense. It is good to know that they got the boot from their job. How stupid can you be?
This is like teachers who allow students to join them in their private social media. Para pendejo no se estudia.
The woman was a success until she fucked it up. Was she drunk on tequila?
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)?
Too many females make it to the top and break the "glass ceiling" but it isn't always the best choice.
It was an unemployed claim
Segun
Look at indictment from hidalgo County
Border Patrol is about honesty, integrity and loyalty. They have a museum in El Paso. Why would a Chief from the Brownsville sector decide to create a tequila? Makes no sense. Somebody is lying. Lying is an expertise of the Border Patrol agents. Everybody knows that. They mock citizens and they pretend nothing happened. They are abusive towards dogs and they claim it is just a discipline technique.
More women breaking through GLASS CEILING is a positive development.
Captain Brett Crozier, Commander of the USS aircraft carrier sent a letter asking for help. He was fired.
Admiral Lisa Franchetti: Chief of Naval Operations, no reason given for her firing.
Admiral Linda Fagan: Commandant US Coast Guard fired for leadership deficiencies.
At the workplace there are no friends. Companies do not want their employees to have conflicts of interests. They reprimand you, they write you up or they fire you.
DEI was just a another wasteful program from the Democrats. Employers should be allowed to hire the most qualified regardless of race.
The woman was corrupt period. How long was she corrupt before being caught? Greed is the word.
Everyone is innocent until proven guilty.
When you are from brownsville people expect you to fail
When you are from Southmost people want you to fail
When you are from Porter people hope you fail
Crabs in a bucket!
She never had a chance
She succomed for whatever reason
She said something against the MAGA's. She is out.
The price of the Tequila is 70 dollars. The price of the Whiskey is 70 dollars. So who got fired for creating the Border Patrol Monopoly? All lies about the corruption, the Tequila etc Find out the reason behind the firing Montoya? Somebody is talking. Infiltrate the Border Patrol and find out.
The Border Patrol has its origins in the Ku Klux Klan. The Texas Rangers, etc They have always dealt with Whiskey and killed many innocent people because of the liqueur.
Vendetta.
2:35 PM MORON MEXICAN
"US Border Patrol" logo? Was that legal? Use of logos like that requires top government approval.
Granted your pictures could be doctored for drama but if those underlings had part in those shenanigans I can understand why they are in trouble.
The Moron Mexicans were also killed and nothing happened. Families were destroyed in the process. You know that.
