What’s on display here isn’t leadership but theater for the id. The man knows his followers are starving for chaos, so he feeds them deportations as if they were breakfast sausages. The costume, the helicopters, the movie poster knockoff are not policies. They are props in a play staged for people who cannot tell fantasy from governance. The obsession with war is less about defense and more about keeping his own hollowness at bay. If he can convince you the enemy is out there, in Chicago, in Mexico, in some shadowy immigrant, then you will forget the rot inside the house he pretends to guard.
