Special to El Rrun-Rrun
Beginning this month, October 2025, green card holders hoping to become U.S. citizens will be facing a new and longer version of the oral naturalization test.
The new 2025 Naturalization Civic Test is increased from 100 to 128 questions. Applicants will be asked 20 randomly selected questions instead of 10. To pass, applicants will need to answer 12 of them correctly instead of 6 as in the old test.
As in the previous test version, it is an oral test given by a U.S. citizenship and Immigration Services officer. But unlike the previous test, once an applicant answers enough questions to either pass or fail, the Immigration Services officer can cease asking questions at any time.
Only immigrants who meet all eligibility requirements, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and understand U.S. government and civics are able to apply for naturalization.
The focus on the new 2025 version will be mainly on American history and governance.
Unlike the real citizenship test, which may have more than one correct answer for some questions, I have created a 20 question ‘multiple choice’ test with only one correct answer for each question. These are actual questions from the new 2025 oral naturalization test.
If you want to test your American History and Governance civics knowledge, go to JFRODRIGUEZUSA.BLOGSPOT.COM or https://tinyurl.com/2025citizenshiptest and try your luck!!
Footnote: I failed the test!

The citizenship test is challenging for a reason. Its purpose is to get rid of everyone who doesn't succeed. This country needs workers who are well-educated and skilled. This will stop allowing people who only come to take advantage of social services. The time of the Democratic Party is over.
You mean like 'White people from South Africa'?
Beginning in May 2025, the U.S. government under the Trump administration began a new refugee resettlement program specifically for white South Africans, primarily those of Afrikaner descent.
This program has been a subject of political debate due to its unusual nature, as it prioritized this specific group while largely suspending general refugee admissions.
The program is for white South Africans who can claim they have experienced or fear persecution due to their race. It has been criticized for fast-tracking this group's applications ahead of thousands of other refugees who had been in the pipeline for years.
The applications of these white families were processed in a matter of months, an unconventional approach for the U.S. refugee resettlement program, which typically involves a lengthy vetting process and can take years.
Their applications were fast-tracked through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program, even while the program was largely suspended for refugees from other parts of the world
The basis for granting refugee status has been challenged by human rights organizations and the South African government. While the Trump administration cited claims of widespread violence against white farmers, experts like Human Rights Watch say this phenomenon is not supported by available data and does not constitute a refugee crisis.
The policy is controversial, with critics highlighting the racial dynamics involved. Organizations like the Episcopal Church and refugee care nonprofits have protested, pointing to the disparity between the treatment of white South Africans and refugees from other parts of the world.
If this is real it flunks. The first two have two answers. the president nominates and the Senate confirms judges, The president does not appoint judges. Just ask Robert Bork
Dictatorships need someone to blame. Remember, Trump is giving a gold card to millionaires....who probably do not know much about the USA.
Americans do not know the answers to the questions.
21. How many U.S. senators are there? • 22. How long is a term for a U.S. senator? 24. How many voting members are in the House of Representatives?
10:12 Trump is SELLING gold visa cards for 5 million dollars. He's probably throwing in the answer sheet too.
