Performing arts? Just more waste of taxpayer money. Kids will only succeed if they excel in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. These kids will have the better paying jobs. BISD can always look for funding the performing arts center from one of the LGBTQ organizations.

Most States have a State Income Tax that helps fund their schools rather than property tax. The funds are generated from every employee that works in that state. Imagine the property tax relief that would give hone owners.
