Vote no please. I can’t afford no new taxes.
Proposition A: Repair, upgrade, renovate. Yeah right, BISD will not do any of this because they have not done it in the past. They spend the money and never fix the parking lots, nor fix roofs, nor fix air conditioners, nor change lights, nor floors, alarm and safety and build a career center. Each campus has a list of things that need to be done and BISD has never done anything. They had money. What happened to the money?
Proposition B: a new multi purpose performing arts center that will accommodate 1,800 people. BISD will let the Community use this facility. The City of Brownsville has several places that BISD can rent and still save money in the process. BISD just wants to spend and spend right now that the economy is awful, the residents have no money and the job prospects for students is not good.
Vote yes, and take control of the ISD. This school district is over a century old so be part of its history by saying yes!
I do not want to control Independent school district? If I control it, I will close most of the schools and I will not collect taxes. The parents have to pay a fee to use my schools. I will not pay a salary nor benefits to teachers. There will be no parking lots nor buses. No cafeteria. People are spoiled here in Brownsville. Spending and spending other people's money. And no results.
Dumb ass ( to the OP @5:35). Probably a fat teacher that gets extra stipends and grant money, and blows it at Chilis every night and then cries that you’re broke before payday and hates the kids ( which they are the only reason you have a job and can afford a new Tahoe)
Just all a money maker.
