If we’re serious about building a Texas that works for all of us, then we need to talk honestly about what happened in the Rio Grande Valley in 2024.
Voters in the Valley didn’t shift red because they suddenly agreed with every part of national Republicans’ agenda. They shifted because for too long, too many politicians stopped listening. Families saw rising prices, school closures, and health care deserts while the political class offered headlines instead of solutions. It’s no wonder they felt unheard.
Gina knows this because she lived it. She grew up in Valley public schools, saw her parents fight for farmworkers in the fields, and witnessed firsthand how families survived in a system stacked against them. She knows they don’t need politicians who just parachute in for votes every four years.
Texans in the Rio Grande Valley need leaders who show up for them every day, understand the challenges they’re facing, and fight for real solutions to make life better.
That means fighting for good-paying jobs, strong public schools, housing the average person can actually afford, and a future for kids right in their own communities.
It also means fighting for health care access in every zip code. Right now, too many families in the Valley don’t have access to the care they need.
Finally, it means taking on the corruption that has left them behind. Greg Abbott has sold out our public schools to billionaire donors, and communities like the Valley are paying the price. Gina has taken on corruption and won — and she’ll do it as governor, too.
If we listen, show up, and fight together, we can flip Texas blue in 2026.
