After the local Elks Lodge Lodge #2876 joined forces with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #2035 to jointly occupy the building at 1801 Veterans Boulevard they undertook a renovation of the main lobby and canteen that required the removal of the framed photos of the uniformed veterans that lined the walls.
As a result, some relatives came in and took the framed photos home and the VFW and Elks officials complied with their wishes.
But after the scraping and painting was done, they decided to hang the remaining photos on the walls on the western walls of the building. However, they realized that there were some photos of local VFW veterans missing. They are now informing veterans' families that they are welcome to bring their veteran's photo to join the rest of their VFW comrades on the clubs' walls.

The posts are located at the building at 1801 Veterans Boulevard and relatives can make arrangements to bring in their photo of their VFW veteran. We thank you in advance for your positive consideration to this request.

May all these veterans who served our with a sincere heart be blessed.
As a retired Marine veteran, would sure like to attend some of the VFW meetings, unfortunately, that number provided (956) 541-3671 has been disconnected.
This story is missing somehting. What was said to the relatives that they took the pictures back with them? When you paint a room, you put all your pictures in a box and then you put them back !!!
