(After we published the post yesterday about the COB-Redfish Recycling project that starts January 1, a heated online exchange erupted between former city commissioner Jessica Tetreau and commissioner Tino Villarreal where veiled accusations of the city robbing the residents were hurled – and denied – over the question. Residents, even if they decline to separate recyclables in a Redfish bin, will still be charged a $5 monthly recycling fee. Questions also arose of Tetreau's role in the Tenaska Scam, former mayor Tony Martinez's real estate speculation with tax-delinquent properties under commission consideration, etc...where she held her tongue and discretely separated herself from the controversies. The argument deteriorates over time, but you can't beat it for comedy relief!)

Do not mess with Tino Villarreal. Sorry but some men do go out to shop and buy stuff. In the past, only women would go shopping but now men go and buy things. The recycle program is a good thing. Finally somebody had the power to make it happen. In the past, the Brownsville people had to carry all their recyclable items and drop them off at a center. I never questioned nor criticized Jessica when she was with Elon Musk. She never thought that Elon Musk was a bad guy for our city.
Any fool with even a day in another city knows our city politicians are lousy public servants. They can talk circles around you all day long. Doing for the community is something they either do not know how to do or they don't want to do it.

The more waste you put into the landfill with forever chemicals the worse it will become. We know for a fact, forever chemicals are in our brains and reproductive organs. I guess Jessica is fine with an irresponsible city not addressing the issue, thereby allowing her children's brains and reproductive organs being polluted to save a few pennies.

Recycling is a scam. It was a PR campaign by the Coca-Cola and Pepsico in the late 80s and early 90s. Redfish sends our trash to a subcontractor who subcontracts to another contractor to sell that trash to 3rd-World Counties who eventually dumps it on the Pacific Ocean. There is no such thing as recycling.
The issue here is the mandate of the City to implement a $5 fee to a scam. Sounds like money laundering to me.
