GUERRA'S TIES TO HUACHICOL EMBARASSING: TEAM GUERRA VANDALIZES SIGNS

A offending campaign sign showing Steve Guerra's ties to huachicol and his team's response: tear down the  signs.
Special to El Rrun-Rrun

After months of denying any link between him and the illegal importation of petroleum products into Mexico, documentation from the Mexican government, the Texas secretary of State, and district court records have directly linked Brownsville Navigation District chairman Steve Guerra  to shipments between his Warrior Fuel Traders Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) and Pyrodiesel Del Cento SA de CV, named by the Federal Criminal Intelligence Center of Mexico as a principal in the smuggling of fuel.
Guerra was first elected to the BND board in 2018 and appointed chair in 2022. He was reappointed to the position in May 2024. He is currently a candidate for Cameron County Judge in the Democratic Party primary.

These revelations were first published in Frankie Olivo's Facebook post https://www.facebook.com/FrankieOlivo10/posts/this-is-how-steve-guerra-is-linked-to-huachicol-he-was-buying-diesel-in-the-us-a/1221688939939605/ outlining a debt of Guerra's LLC to non-payment to Key Performance Petroleum Company of Navasota, Texas.

In that lawsuit, Key Performance president Mark Jackson filed an affidavit October 26, 2022 in support of his company's lawsuit demanding payment of an outstanding balance of $333,484.47 and attached copies of 24 invoices totaling shipments of diesel and other petroleum products they had shipped at Warrior Fuel Traders' request over a two-month period in 2020 that had not been paid. Guerra was served the next day, October 27.

In Cause No: 2022-DCL-5154-I plaintiff Key Performance lists a systematic record of transactions that make up the outstanding balance of Warrior Fuel Traders, LLC.

Government investigations revealed that Warrior Fuel Traders/Steve Guerra was in direct business with Pyrodiesel Del Cento SA de CV. Pyrodiesel has been named as a principal in fuel smuggling activities (huachicol) of petroleum by the Federal Criminal Intelligence Center of Mexico. https://es-us.noticias.yahoo.com/huachicoleros-controlaban-puertos-pa%C3%ADs-060000638.html
Invoices to Warrior Fuel Traders from Key Performance indicate the diesel and petroleum products were shipped through Eagle Pass, Texas and delivered to Pyrodiesel. The Warrior Fuel Traders LLC was registered with the Texas Secretary Of State April 13, 2020 and its certification was forfeited June 24, 2022.

"The identification of the modus operandi: First modus operandi, the fuel is purchased in the United States and then imported into Mexico, where it is sold to various companies. These companies are responsible for distributing it through marketing and transportation companies, selling the fuel at a lower price than the one established in the national market.

"To this end, they use cloned gasoline and diesel import declarations to simulate the legal origin of the hydrocarbons, allowing them to legitimize the multiple sales they make," the Federal Center for Criminal Intelligence (FGR) analysis details.

Well all I can say is that Steve Guerra has always been shady. I've know him since we were younger teens and he has always found ways of making a buck no matter at what cost. Even though I've known him for years I will not be voting for him. Do I agree with the current county judge on some decisions he makes NO. But believe that he knows his shot and Steve would drive the county into the ground. Does he have special interest groups of course! Just look at who is hanging around with.... Abel Gomez who for years people have said that the FBI is looking into but nothing ever happens. Maybe Gomez is an informant with the FBI? Come election day my vote will be for Trevino. Oh and that one time so called Sheriff well we all know he ran the Sheriffs department to the ground.Let it go Garza didn't vote for you for sheriff and won't vote for you now.
Yes someone will come on here and say blah blah blah but remember everyone that runs for office has their people.

IDK whom this comment at 11:01 am is directed at but I find it funny that a “man” has the audacity to call someone “HOSS” and then posts anonymously. Where I come from, Hoss is a name of respect. My roommate 25 years ago had a Rottweiler named Hoss, and the dog was more of a warrior than your online ass will ever be.

Yes. Trevino is not the candidate of the poor. Trevino has Sofia Benavidez, Sheriff and Vela on his side. Naah, not Trevino.

Well, Guerra's company was just delivering the fuel. His job was not to certify the origin of the company he was delivering the fuel. That was the job of an agency that checks on all the companies and their dealings. Steve Guerra goes into the election as a strong candidate.

So you’re telling me that’s okay? You’re telling me these drivers didn’t know where to unload this fuel at? You’re telling me they didn’t realize, oh wow this doesn’t look like a gas business I’ve been before. The fact you could defend something of that nature says a lot about your brain and your inability to differentiate a donkey from an ass. Ask yourself this? Is your vote for Brownsville or Matamoros? Plain and simple.

Imagine a room full of Asians or north eastern business men waiting to meet the Cameron county judge. All of a sudden, all 400lbs of hyperglycemic, spotted, carne picada walks through the door. Nope, they’re instantly no longer interested, they at that point are just trying to get the meeting over with, they want to go home. I’m sorry, the poltics behind Steve are not exceptable nor is the image. His ties to shadiness in Mexico are too strong and I just don’t believe this a good view for the rest of Cameron county. Imagine what Charles Barkley would be saying about us?

Steve Guerra is a family man. So he will be greatly appreciated by Asians and North Eastern businessmen. Family, tradition, legacy and respect are still valued by many men. Hope Steve Guerra knows how to drink socially because the Asians and the North Eastern businessmen love to drink to socialize.

I am not defending the agency in charge of all this. They are to blame for giving permits and for allowing this type of deals to happen. Those are the real culprits.

Well what real choice does Cameron county have ? It’s basically all recycled past and present candidatos.

Boy, as soon as you announce that you're running for politics, SHIT starts flying. Everything they are saying about this candidate could be true, or it might not. BUT how long has he been in office? REALLY, now it's all coming out? This has been happening for a while, and nobody mentioned SHIT till now. Someone is running scared of losing their position. All of these so called commisioners are in it for themselves and could give 2 shits about their constituents. You threaten them, and this is how they come after you. TERM LIMITS would be great! But they won't have it. Just ask Joey Lopez, he'll tell you.

Bureaucracy is a system of organization in which laws, rules, or regulatory authority are carried out by civil servants who are not elected officials. Historically, the term referred to government administrations structured into departments and staffed by appointed officials. Today, bureaucracy describes the administrative framework of any large organization, whether public or private. Governments commonly operate through bureaucratic systems, but so do corporations, nonprofit organizations, societies, and clubs that rely on centralized, hierarchical structures.

Bureaucratic systems face two central challenges. The first concerns the degree of independence bureaucrats should have versus their accountability to political leaders. The second involves the extent to which officials must strictly follow established rules, as opposed to exercising discretion when addressing situations not anticipated by existing regulations.

Many scholars and commentators argue that bureaucracy is essential to modern society. The German sociologist Max Weber viewed bureaucracy as the most efficient and rational method for organizing large-scale human activity, emphasizing that formal procedures and hierarchical structures promote order, efficiency, and impartiality. At the same time, Weber warned that unchecked bureaucracy could threaten individual freedom, potentially confining people within an impersonal “iron cage” of rigid, rule-based control.

Do not do it. Better. Do not go to school. Let the teachers catch up on paperwork. You all get an A.

Anonymous said...

Exactly. So those in charge establish the rules, and make the system work. When there is trouble, is that the ones at the top made a mistake but the secretary gets fired. This is the same situation here, those that established the agencies and the rules, messed up and now want to get the drivers in trouble. Bunch of malarkey.

Anonymous said...

Good, let them walk out. It's probably the ones that are on the bubble and don't give a shit about school. Hopefully, the cameras are out there, and they ask you WHY you're walking out, so you can show your ignorance with a stupid answer.

You’re damn right he’s a family man. He’s trying to continue the shady family business from Matamoros like Daddy and Grandpa

Anonymous said...

This is Matamoros (Steve) versus Brownsville (Eddie). I’m choosing Brownsville, I’m sticking with Eddie. Cartels and their affiliates have no place on this side of the border much less in county politics.

Anonymous said...

When your grandfather is Juan Nepomuceno Guerra founder of the Gulf Cartel makes perfect sense. His selling of used cars was just a front for the cartel dealings.
The people of the Valley have forgotten the Guerra Family is the financial arm of the Gulf Cartel. It´s done on purpose. Out of sight, out of mind.
I wouldn't call Esteban Guerra a ¨mob boss" he´s just a part of the many tentacles of the Mexican Gulf Cartels.

Anonymous said...

In the end the ones that will lose are the people of Cameron County. Every County politician and Sheriff since the rise of Juan Garcia-Abrego have been under the pocket of the Guerra Family and the Gulf Cartel.

Little Eddie is in the pocket, although he will deny it.

Eric Garza, as imbecile as he looks, but not imbecile enough to say no to easy money from the Cartel when he was Sheriff and to fund his campaigns. And yes Omar Lucio, without a doubt Conrado Cantu, and Alex Perez did the same when they were Sheriff.

And Esteban Guerra, poor Esteban Guerra cry me a river with ¨his family" shtick. What about all the people the Guerras made bankrupt or killed? What about their families? The Guerra family and Gulf Cartel are doing to South Texas what they did to Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, and Veracruz after the fall of Garcia-Abrego. The Gulf Cartel and the Guerras infiltrated the local PRI party and became the politicians themselves which enabled Osiel Cardenas-Guillen maintain power for so long. Now the Guerras don't care what "Capo¨ is in control of the Cartel because they became the ultimate Cartel- The Government.

The Guerras are not stupid, they hire very smart people to be their planners. What is the first thing you take out when beginning a war- logistics. The Guerras implanted Esteban Guerra to takeover the Port of Brownsville and now they are coming inland an elected office at a time. Regardless of political party (Republican/Democrat) Until they reach Austin.

But there is still hope. The main difference between the people of Mexico and Texans we Texans are armed.

Anonymous said...

I doubt Guerra will win, but it’s telling that both a county sheriff and a commissioner are publicly endorsing the incumbent county judge, Treviño. Their support suggests a high level of comfort with the current administration. Unfortunately, Guerra appears to have little chance, even as these endorsements raise concerns that the status quo is being protected—keeping the present system stable enough to continue practices that some view as questionable or potentially corrupt.

Anonymous said...

Wow, you don't know that the county, city, and port politics are all the same people. Even if Guerra is not elected as a County Judge, he is a Port commissioner, and his pal, Pedro Cardenas, is a City commissioner, so they are entrenched here in Brownsville, as are others they BOTH helped get elected. The cartels and their affiliates are already here, and a border won't stop them.
