A favorite joke among the local wags at the Sportsman Bar is that "ya cayo el ICE" when bar helper Robert "El Huevo" Benavidez carries in real ice in a shopping cart from the local Dollar Tree to cool off the beer at the watering hole "pa que esten muertas" during the hot days. It has become an inside joke among bar patrons since the Trump immigration crackdown began.
A reader took it a bit farther when they sent us this photo of the urinal at the I,2,3 Lounge on 14th Street and said the ICE even went into the pisser. They then sent us a photo of ice inside the urinal. 
Our parents used to warn us not to patronize local cantinas because "te van a enseñar mañas." They were so right.
