The U.S. House of Representatives passed the SAVE America Act on February 12, 2026, 13 days after it was introduced by Representative Chip Roy.
The bill is very similar to the SAVE Act and would create unfair and unnecessary barriers to voting, especially for married women. Further, the bill now mandates that every state send private voter information to the Department of Homeland Security.
The bill continues to require documents that can be difficult and expensive to obtain to register to vote, such as birth certificates and passports, as well as imposes a restrictive photo ID requirement at the polls.

GOP women voted against their right to make decisions regarding their own bodies.
They are ok with allowing politicians to decide what is in their best interests. I encourage my daughters to be
independent and not rely on others to dictate their decisions. There is too much overreach in government. Stay out of our personal lives.

Getting a copy of your birth certificate is not difficult, you’ll just have to wait at the City of Brownsville, City Secretary 1034 E Levee because it’s usually packed with anchor babies and their parents requesting a birth certificate. They are not that expensive but may be pricey for people that have to work for a living and are not on government assistance like AFDC. STOP BITCHING AND COMPLAINING!!! ID’s are required at a lot of places and you need a birth certificate to get a valid Tx drivers license. If your name changed then you should have gotten it corrected on your birth certificate when it happened. Too many people have been braking our laws far to long and government had gotten very complacent and things needed to change…NO MORE GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE FOR ILLEGALS!!!
