Property tax is the biggest scam going. I can understand a few hundred dollar increases per year but thousands? It appears that the city of Brownsville administrators are trying to force the poor out of their homes. Can't pay your taxes they'll just take your home. This enables the corrupt to build their own dream town. I for one is willing to join the masses in not paying this years taxes. Lets bring this BS to a head.

Idiot. Show one tax bill which has gone up by thousands. They do not exist. The economic boom is forcing the cost of homes to go up. Not the city of Brownsville.

My property tax went up by 700%.It has everything to do with the city and county. These out of state appraisers are colluding with the realtors, multi-billionaires, and corporations together with the city and county departments to kick us out of our area. It's that simple. They're only using that tax dollar to make more money.

They need tax money because they have some bullshit vision of the future.

Liar and fool. this means if you were paying $2,000, an average in Brownsville you would now be paying $14,000 a year. Give it to Montoyos so he can post it. All you prove is idiots and fools come here to most verifiable lies. I am a nobody and my house is appraised $100,000 its market value. My neighbor just sold his home for $125,000 over its appraisal. You are such a fool you are telling people the Herald would say nothing over someone going from $2,000 a year to $14,000.00. You fools only help the corrupt elected officials because no one believes you.

No one believes you went from paying $166 a month in property tax to $1,666.00.00. Why do fools post such nonsense.
