The United States Department of Defense has released updated casualty figures showing that more than 600 American troops have been killed or wounded since the United States launched military operations against Iran.
According to the updated Defense Casualty Analysis System, the total now stands at 642 casualties, including 18 service members killed and 624 wounded. The revised figures reportedly include more than 140 wounded personnel who were not listed in previous counts, while also restoring four July fatalities that had temporarily disappeared from official records.
