2026 YEAR OF DECISION: ELECT A CANDIDATE FOR COUNTY JUDGE WITH A CARTEL-LINKED PEDIGREE, OR A PROVEN ADMINISTRATOR WITH INTEGRITY?

This year, Cameron County voters are approaching a watershed moment November 3 in the election for county judge.

Will they elect Steve Guerra, the Democratic candidate with familial links to the Gulf Cartel, or will they repeat what they have done at least five other times and elect his Republican opponent – this time Mauro Garza – instead?

The Republicans were Tony Garza Jr., who was elected three times and went on to become Texas Secretary of State and then U.S. embassador to Mexico. Cascos was elected twice and followed Garza by being appointed as Texas SOS. Could history repeat itself?

Guerra beat incumbent Eddie Treviño after a nasty internecine Democratic Party runoff where his anonymous proxies used misinformation and innuendo charging Trevino sold Boca Chica Beach to SpaceX's Elon Musk, that he received shady under-the-table construction contracts, and pictured him as a rodent, or a "rata."

He is now calling upon his opponent and those of his followers he maligned for party "unity" to face his opponent Garza in the November 3 general election. Is this a case where party loyalty demands too much?

In contrast, Garza's campaign for his party's nomination refrained from maligning his competition and urges putting "county before party and people before politics."

But it is Guerra's Gulf Cartel connection that should give county voters cause for concern. This is not hearsay. It is documented across genealogy, court cases citation, and U.S. Department of Justice cases,  evidence, and press statements.

There is no dispute or cause for defamation or libel (the truth is its own defense against libel) to say that Guerra:

GRANDFATHER WAS FOUNDER OF GULF CARTEL

* Is the grandson of Cartel del Golfo founder Juan N. Guerra, whose criminal organization was headquartered in Matamoros and northern Tamaulipas and used violence and coercion to gain control of smuggling routes and bribed officials at every level of government. (That's Don Juan in the white hat and Juan Abrego Garcia standing with a white Styrofoam cup in his hand). Rivals were eliminated.

HIS FATHER UNCLE OF JUAN GARCIA ABREGO, RUTHLESS GULF CARTEL BOSS

* That Steve Guerra's father is the uncle of  Juan Abrego Garcia, who took over the Gulf Cartel after Juan N. Guerra retired and passed away.
García Abrego was convicted on 22 counts including money laundering, drug trafficking, intent to distribute and running an ongoing criminal enterprise. After a four-week trial, a jury needed only 12 hours to convict García Abrego on all charges. He was sentenced by the presiding judge to 11 consecutive life terms, and is currently incarcerated at the United States Penitentiary, Florence, ADMAX, (commonly known as ADX Florence) in Florence, Colorado. His rivals were often eliminated.

HIS AUNT SANDRA MEDINA GUERRA: PRICE FIXING, CONSPIRACY TO MONOPOLIZE

* That Steve is the nephew of Sandra Guerra Medina, who pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to fix prices and allocate the market for transmigrante forwarding agency services and one count of conspiracy to monopolize the same market. Guerra also agreed to pay fines as part of their plea agreements. According to the DOJ of the Southern District of Texas, Guerra was involved in a long-running and violent conspiracy which involved price fixing, extortion and money laundering. She joined seven others who also entered guilty pleas for their various roles in a scheme to monopolize the transmigrante forwarding agency industry in the Los Indios border region near Harlingen and Brownsville.

Some of their rivals and transmigrantes who did not comply with their enforced monopoly disappeared and were eliminated.

STEVE'S OWN LINKS TO CARTEL HUACHICOL

Yes, you may say, Steve Guerra's kin is involved in cartel-linked enterprises, but you should not visit the sins of the father upon the son. That is, until, you see that Steve himself did business with his Warrior's Fuel Traders LLC that purchased $100,000s, more likely millions, of fuel in the United States and shipped them to Mexico to corporations that have been identified as engaging in fiscal huachicol through criminal cartels. A full search for the record of those transactions is currently underway.

After months of denying any link between him and the importation of petroleum products into Mexico, documentation from the Mexican government, the Texas secretary of State, state district court records, and federal sources have  linked Brownsville Navigation District chairman Steve Guerra directly to shipments between his Warrior Fuel Traders Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) and Pyrodiesel Del Cento SA de CV, named by the Federal Criminal Intelligence Center of Mexico as a principal in the smuggling of fuel by the Mexican cartels.
Guerra was first elected to the BND board in 2018 and appointed chair in 2022. He was reappointed to the position in May 2024. He beat Trevino in the Democratic Party runoff and is running against Mauro Garza in the general election this November 3.

A lawsuit in state court outlined a debt of Guerra's LLC of non-payment to Key Performance Petroleum Company of Navasota, Texas in just a month.

In that lawsuit, Key Performance president Mark Jackson filed an affidavit October 26, 2022 in support of his company's lawsuit demanding payment of an outstanding balance of $333,484.47 and attached copies of 24 invoices totaling shipments of diesel and other petroleum products they had shipped at Warrior Fuel Traders' request over a a month's period in 2020 that had not been paid. Guerra was served the next day, October 27.

Before that, Warrior Fuels had been doing business for close to two years. Key Performance local agent Lindsay Clark, of Brownsville, was named as the local seller.

In Cause No: 2022-DCL-05154-I plaintiff Key Performance lists a systematic record of transactions that made up the outstanding balance of Warrior Fuel Traders, LLC.

Government investigations revealed that Warrior Fuel Traders/Steve Guerra was in direct business with Pyrodiesel Del Cento SA de CV. Pyrodiesel has been named as a principal in fuel smuggling activities (huachicol) of petroleum by the Federal Criminal Intelligence Center of Mexico. https://es-us.noticias.yahoo.com/huachicoleros-controlaban-puertos-pa%C3%ADs-060000638.html
Invoices to Warrior Fuel Traders from Key Performance indicate the diesel and petroleum products were shipped through Eagle Pass, Texas and delivered to Pyrodiesel. The Warrior Fuel Traders LLC was registered with the Texas Secretary Of State April 13, 2020 and its certification was forfeited June 24, 2022.

"The identification of the modus operandi: First modus operandi, the fuel is purchased in the United States and then imported into Mexico, where it is sold to various companies. These companies are responsible for distributing it through marketing and transportation companies, selling the fuel at a lower price than the one established in the national market.

"To this end, they use cloned gasoline and diesel import declarations to simulate the legal origin of the hydrocarbons, allowing them to legitimize the multiple sales they make," the Federal Center for Criminal Intelligence (FGR) analysis details.

This November 3, you, the voters will decide who to entrust with the future of their families and the welfare of Cameron County.

I always pictured Ahumada and Trevino as a rat. . .I think we all kind of did. Once that sticks, it's over.

Guerra needs to wear a cowboy hat with a cigar like Boss Hogg.

Just a good ol' boys,
Never meanin' no harm,
Beats all you never saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born.

I'm going to vote for that other LGBTQ candidate, I got it. He's somewhere in the middle of the political spectrum, a centrist conservative, I guess?

FBI? Where are you? Congressman Vicente any comments? DA?

I always vote for the fat guy. It's who we are,

Just the fact that you are pushing for the Republican means he is not a Republican.

But the mob mentality has taken over. I’m seeing educated people joining the mob to elect a bad guy, (they know he’s a bad guy) but happy to join the mob for the thrill.
With all that’s happening in Mexico Cameron County will just be an extension of Lawless Mexico con Narcogovernantes.
That’s and will be our label
Narcoelected officials. It will extend to all elected officials. Look at Gus de Leon managed to have his property improved. So creative just like drug traffickers. Tino will follow and poor Bryan he won’t be able to resist they’ll do anything for attention and money. Ladies and gentlemen the new era of governance will take over soon. Sad for Cameron county. They have taken over every governor organization. And we sit back and watch..

No he is not a Republican. He deals with criminals. He is a criminal himself.

Now that the congressman knows Steve is working against him, I wonder what he has to say in regards to Pedro Steve and the Mexican cartel

Overweight, diabetic with a dark black spot on our foreheads ? I’m not voting for someone who doesn’t take care of himself

Voting for Mauro, I’ve known Steve for years, those hands of his are dirty, I can only imagine how things will be with him as county judge and placing Pedro “the bribe-taker” as his chief of staff. Pedro living off the government via grants, COB pay, extorting Luis V’s app, and potentially as chief of staff for this dirty Matamoros politician Steve Guerra. I’m not for any of that, Steve, come after me, it’s how you work, mafia style, it’s in your high-cholesterol blood. Mauro for Judge!

Funny how everyone who is trying to smear steve and with mauro now were the same that were with eddie the rat. Obviously they migrated with mauro to try and save all their juicy corrupt businesses. Steve served honorably for 8 years at the port but till now you care who great grandpa was. Their privileges and self interest are over.

I couldn’t agree more, Tino won’t join soon, Tino has already been apart of the Steve Guerra cloud since before his time in politics.

If you look at Steve Guerra’s campaign finance report of 01/2026, he accepted money from Ivan Sosa, a known cocaine trafficker. Everything about Steve is tied to organized crime. I will NOT be voting for him anymore.

Editor: Since "this November" arrives this year, you do not need the "This year" intro to the first sentence.

Clear writing is best for all readers.

I keep hearing that it's all over for Trump. Well, I'll believe that is true when I hear it on TV news, or when they take Trump to prison in handcuffs. Then I'll have a party.

No Brown clown running as a Republican is a Republican. Pussies, all

We all need a cowboy grandfather, a rancher father and relatives that are nuns and priests. We have lousy grandparents, that raise terrible children and the only good thing is that they have lots of babies all over the valley. Still they work here in the Valley and do not go beyond San Antonio. Pura raza. Puro 956.

I voted for him just so he could run against the Republican guy. We have had 2 Republicans as county judge and both were GOOD MEN. Let it go and just let the VOTERS DECIDE

Beto quintanilla made a song to Steve's dad...

Ya se oyen cantar los gallos
Ya los están preparando
El palenque ya revienta
Hay mucha gente gritando
Amarren amarradores
Que la Mona está esperando
Yo no conozco de gallos
Pero era un giro plateado
No quedaba rival vivo
En las patas de ese gallo
Con el giro, Pepe Guerra
Mucho dinero ha ganado
Siempre pienso en Matamoros
Cuando hablo de Pepe Guerra
Lo respetan los galleros
En palenques, dondequiera
Y les pega todo el año
En el rodeo La Hielera
Pepe tiene mucha gente
Él le merece respeto
Porque es un hombre sencillo
Porque es un hombre del pueblo
La humildad que representa
No la cambiará el dinero
Te la pasas en familia
Entre gallos y canciones
El ambiente del palenque
Altera los corazones
Las canciones y el amor
Los gallos las emociones
Que suelten los otros gallos
Y usted apueste al que quiera
Que yo le voy a los gallos
Del gallero Pepe Guerra
En merito Matamoros
Los espera en La Hielera

I'm not voting for either CJ candidate. I can't in good conscience.

THAT"S WHY I'M VOTING FOR GINA HINOJOSA!

Exactly the 8 years of privileges of self-interest while serving at the port of Brownsville importing and exporting at his will. Making up Shell business to hide the movements of oil. We’re no fools to this situation. Steve is a typical candidate yelling “Rata” to someone to distract from himself. Explain to me where all the money the Guerrero brothers and Luis Prime Villareal have given him. It’s not all on a campaign report. It was given cash and probably under a mattress just like Great Grandpa taught him.

True story, his sister is married to a Guerrero brother, key campaign advisors and investors in Steve’s campaign. We’re all trying to figure out what the Guerreros do for a living. They seem to buy buildings like chewing gum, somehow they have the cash, smells oily!!!

Honorably who are you trying to fool. That is where the huachicol started. He just hasn’t gotten caught. Nothing nothing honorable about Steve.

Trump will be recognized as the best president ever! Just look at our current economy. The U.S. economy grew at an annual rate of 1.5% in the second quarter of 2026 with consumer spending and investment driving growth while government spending declined. Personal income rose $54.9 billion in June 2026.

Who remains uncorrupted in this city and county? We have a bank on nearly every corner. There are more luxury vehicles in our city than in San Antonio. How can this city be deemed impoverished? If it were not for the drug trade, this city and much of the country would be facing severe economic decline.

Juan it is 7:40 and you have not posted about Dolly.🥲

Gina Hinojosa? Good luck with that.

The democrats of this city and county need to continue voting for their parties choice. This is part of their DNA.

And where is the money from the golf tournaments? Not in a campaign report! He bought a property for the exact amount of money he made from the golf tournament that never happened.

And based on this article,
I guess that anyone named “Aldrete” killed mark kilroy? GTFOH -😘

I absolutely agree but if some Mexican or Black guy contributes to White Supremacy, it's like a Christian dietary laws, it's clean. They can do that.

It wouldn't be unethical when lower class races monetarily support the White man. Like they can support the race but they can't be in the club. Herman Cain (RIP Black Heaven) and SCOTUS judge Clarence Thomas are useful tools in that arsenal. It's all about "Replacement" so you know who the enemies are. . .race haters, dangerous lunatics, and punk trash.

God Bless the KKK and Donald J Trump!
