(One of our seven readers says he was surprised that the flag at Veterans Memorial High School was not flown at half staff today in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. He said that they remained at half staff for a week to commemorate the passing of country singer Dolly Parton. Makes you wonder about our priorities. Does the board Brownsville Independent School District have a uniform policy on these matters or is it left to up to the individual schools' administrators discretion to decide? If any day deserves to be observed we would think 9/11 would be at the top of the list.)

(Less than half an hour after we posted about the flags, Memorial H.S. personnnel were observed lowering them, apparently in response to one of our readers calling the district's attention to the matter. Thanks BISD and God bless America!)

Not defending them, but NONE of the students, maybe a couple of the administrators were born . For students and majority of faculty that is more like a history lesson that they see on videos.

Grief for Dolly Parton. The USA has been in grief for 25 years and got revenge. Case closed.
