Cameron County Elections
Please be advised that we have changed the polling location at the Brownsville Campus of UTRGV for Election Day.
Please be advised that we have changed the polling location at the Brownsville Campus of UTRGV for Election Day.
The Election Day polling location will be UTRGV, Student Union, Salon Jacaranda, 650 Ringgold Rd., Brownsville instead of the UTRGV Brownsville Main (BMAIN), Salon Cassia, 1 University Blvd.
Salon Jacaranda is the Early Voting Location, which originally was unavailable for Election Day. We appreciate the University working with us to re-secure the location. The Salon Cassia presented parking, curbside and access challenges that warranted the change.

So far, as of Tuesday, students have cast 1,619 votes at the University Blvd. site.
The University has already begun getting the word out on campus and redirecting their efforts to get out the vote. We have also begun updating our public facing information. We will send out a copy of the updated locations as soon as it is available.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Since Juliet retired the building in the photo and other parts of the campus like the bookstore have been vacant and looks abandoned. No real maintenance other than the outer side for appearances. Very sad to see the campus this way.
