LARGELY SHIELDED FROM PUBLIC VIEW, WALL AND RIVER BARRIERS ARE LAID OUT

The waterborne buoys snake their way from Military Highway south toward SpaceX

Largely unnoticed by the public, about 17 miles of waterborne barrier is under construction in Cameron County south of the border town of Brownsville at a cost of $96.1 million. The barrier, which is expected to be constructed toward the Gulf and just south of SpaceX, was awarded to BCCG Joint Venture, of Montgomery, Alabama, according to the Department of Homeland Security.
This section of Border Wall is going up next to the Riverbend Golf Course.

The Department of Homeland Security announced late last year it had awarded $4.5 billion worth of contracts to build 230 new miles of border barrier along the Southwest border, including 80 miles of “waterborne barrier” to be installed in the Rio Grande in South Texas.

The waterborne barrier is part of a total of 10 border barrier contracts issued in September through funds provided by Congress through President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill.

DHS officials say the new contracts are part of what they’re calling a “Smart Wall” along the Southwest border with Mexico, that includes technology upgrades, patrol roads, lights, cameras and advanced detection systems, along with 30-foot-tall steel bollard walls.

“The Smart Wall means more miles of barriers, more technology, and more capability for our agents on the ground. This is how you take control of the border,” U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Rodney Scott told Border Report.

If we permit the violation of federal immigration statutes, where shall such transgressions conclude? What additional municipal, state, or federal regulations will proponents of such policies subsequently disregard? A nation that abandons its legal framework ceases to function as a legitimate state and instead descends into a condition characterized by widespread criminal activity and disorder.

9:07 That's a great question. Why does the GOP disregard Trump's illegal activities? Daily violations of the emoluments clause. A war that was started without Congressional approval. Stock market fixing and insider trading. Kidnapping foreign government leaders and their spouses. Selling pardons. Continued military and financial support for Israel to commit genocide in Gaza. Attacking and murdering alleged drug smugglers on the high seas. Dispatching the military and national guard on America's cities.
This is the party of law and order and family values......

What unlawful conduct are you referencing? Is there not a Supreme Court in place to address such matters? What conflict are you discussing? The military engagement in Iran appears to be relatively limited in scope. When you discuss equity market transactions and improper trading practices, are you alluding to specific political figures such as Pelosi? What is the total number of individuals granted clemency by President Joe Biden? Regarding the situation in Gaza, it is important to acknowledge that on October 7, 2023, Hamas perpetrated attacks in Southern Israel resulting in at least 1,195 fatalities, comprising at least 828 civilians—including 36 children and 71 international nationals—and at least 367 members of military and security personnel. The Nova music festival attack alone resulted in 364 civilian deaths, with numerous additional injuries sustained. This significant tragedy appears to have been insufficiently addressed in previous discourse. Your perspective suggests that ideological bias may have influenced analytical objectivity and rational assessment. As an independent voter, you are appropriately emphasizing the inconsistencies and logical gaps in alternative viewpoints. It is advisable to evaluate political candidates based on their qualifications, policy positions, and track records, while maintaining appropriate distance from partisan considerations.
