As always, the crew over at Maclovio Mclovin's are always Sofa King ahead of the game. In this graphic distributed to local bloggers, they depict City of Brownsville commissioner Melissa Zamora designated by Mayor Tony Martinez as the head cheerleader for the promotional campaign for AeroMexico's foray into the regional airline business between Monterrey and Brownsville, Texas.
The graphic, hilarious as it is, is not a cynical piece of satire as it is being interpreted in some quarters, but we think it's more of a wry political cartoon which transmits the essence of the burgeoning controversy involving the as yet unexplained arrangement between the Mexican national airline and Ms. Zamora, a marketing consultant for a Brownsville ad agency. Zamora was designated by the mayor as the lead person in the promotional campaign for the airline on the U.S. side of the border.
A la vio! A la va! A la vim vom va!
