OLIVEIRA'S FRIENDS WORRY ABOUT BESOTTED STATE REP

By Juan Montoya

In what people are saying is not the first time, it appears that State Rep. Rene Oliveira gotten somewhat tipsy at a local watering hole and suffered a fall as a result.
Patrons at the waterside bar say that it has been at least twice that Oliveira has slipped and fallen while he has been at the site. In one instance, they said he hit his cheek against the floor and had to be aided by friends.
Now into his 28th year as a state representative, Oliveira is making another run for the position.
He had been rumored to have been considering running for the new congressional district 34 created by the Texas House and Senate. However, in his announcement for re-election he put the rumors to rest by saying he would remain in the Texas House.
"I have been approached by people from across Texas to run for Congress, and I am confident that voters would give me the opportunity to serve them in Washington, D.C," he says immodestly and writes that he has "left open the future possibilities for a run for U.S. Congress."
Now, some of us have been afflicted by the influences of evil rum at one point of our life or another and we are wishing him success at battling his demons.
But after more than a quarter of a century as the people's representative in Austin, perhaps the stress of the job is getting to Rene.
And we also hear that a local attorney, Alejandro Dominguez, is getting ready to make a run for Rene's seat. We call it Rene's seat the same way we used to call Congressional District 27 Solomon Ortiz's seat. At this juncture in time, it is a fallacy to think that the seat belongs to any one individual or family. Could it be that Rene is hearing Dominguez's footsteps as he makes the rounds of his local watering holes?

dominiguez is an idiot and will not be able to get close to beating Rene. John "La Roca" Shergold would have a better chance to beat oliveira than the bald, womanizing dominguez.

Best watch yourself in Browntown sipping evil rum. You could wind up dead under your dining room table. The murderers in Browntown are very respectful of the dead. They offer you a blanket.Better than Southwest Airlines.
