ESTHER GARCIA'S SHINDIG IS TODAY AT LA CANTERA

(Ed.'s Note: It may seem somewhat early for candidates to campaign for the 2014 Democratic party primary, but nowadays you can't start campaigning soon enough. In the case of the JP 2-3 position, Garcia is one of two candidates who have thrown their hats in the ring. The other is former constable Pete Avila who has also appointed a treasurer with the Cameron County elections Office. State reps and U.S. Reps know what it is to be in the two-year election cycle. Fortunately, the JP position is for a four-year term.)
