Why does Mr. Amigo have to be a Mexican....and why does it have to be entertainers? Why not give credit to folks on this side of the border who have given money, time and sweat to make Charro Days happen each year? Seems it just a boondoggle to travel to Mexico and find a person willing to ceremonially visit B'ville. I no longer get excited or involved with Charro Days. If this Mr. Amigo schedules a "pole dance", I might attend.

I agree with a previous comment...why does Mr. Amigo have to be a Mexican. There are two nations on the same border. I suggest someone who is from the area who has gone on and made positive contributions to society. It can be an entertainer or another profession...but someone who our children can aspire to emulate.
