This is the scene that greeted those motorists driving on Price Road just east of the Old Port Isabel intersection. It is obviously very cold and the wind from the north is blowing the water vapor south toward the subdivision at the rear.
We were lucky that Charro Days was sandwiched in between two cold fronts or some of the events in the annual celebration would surely have been cancelled. Stay warm and keep your socks up until this northern blows through.

When driving by Washington Park on Sunday, it was obvious there was a lot of beer drinking....the weather was great. Today hot chocolate would have been the big seller....not as profitable. Thanks to all the Sombrero Fest volunteers and the folks who made it a profitable and safe weekend. More fun than watching all the politicos and the Sheriff's war machines in the parade. Sombrero Fest has become so popular the other events seemed targeted to the schools and the old folks...Noe Pro?????? And the Zoo on Sunday was packed with lines outside to get in. Was it a free day at the Zoo?????
Profitable? Where the heck do all of those profits go? Everyone working there was a slave, I mean, volunteer. It must be nice to rake in all that money for free and then thank all the volunteers with a coupon for a free chick-fil-a (with the purchase of a large drink, of course).
Need to change venue, Washington Park is too small.
It was nice because it was before the lent season. Seems like when Charro Days is during the lent season it rains.
