THE GREMLINS ARE STILL AT WORK IN CAMERON COUNTY

(Ed.'s Note: We returned to our labors on Monday only to find this JPEG in our email. We are guessing this is a photo taken during the 2010 election between Pct. 2 commissioner John Wood and  incumbent Cascos. Cascos then went on to win the 2014 general election against Joe Rivera.  There is an item in the agenda of the special meeting called for Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.of the county commissioners court on the second floor of the Dancy Building having to do with the county accepting four sufficient sureties to administer the oath of office to incoming county clerk-elect Sylvia Garza-Perez. We don't know whether the commissioners – including Cascos – will approve accepting the four sureties, one from a company licensed to do business in Texas, or self insure, or any combination thereof. Unless Ms. Garza-Perez can acquire a bond, state law prohibits her taking the oath, and therefore, the office. The item was placed on the agenda by the court's legal counsel. If a majority [3] decide to self insure, it would mean taking $400,000 from the general fund, which will set a precedent and might be a move the commissioners might not be able to sell to the voters. We are thinking it will be a free for all.)

THIS IS 'BS'...I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR OUR TAX DOLLARS TO BE LOCKED IN AS A SURETY FOR THE PURPOSE OF HER TAKING THE OATH OF OFFICE!!! THIS IS REALLY 'BS' IF THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN...MAJOR CONFLICT OF INTEREST FOR COUNTY GOVERNMENT. I DON'T THINK THAT ANY COUNTY CITIZEN WILL VOTE FOR THIS 'BS'...AND TO ALLOW THE COMMISSIONERS TO SELF-INSURE THIS LADY. THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A PROBLEM IN HER PAST THAT CAUSING her FROM OBTAINING A surety and I think the citizens have a right to now why...before the county decide to self insure her with county moneys!!!!

If the elected official is unbondable there is a good reason why she is thusly so. Red flags are waving over the courthouse.

The Commissioner Court has no business playing Russian Roulette with taxpayer dollars. If companies who business it is to insure risks won't touch her, then this spells trouble for the county if they self insure.

Lillian Cantu Kim can't take a bad picture. The woman is intelligent, and a mover and a shaker. She gets my vote for county judge.

I would make sweet love to Lillian Kim. It is about time she stopped chasing those old sugar daddys and have a young buck service her like she should be.
