On the heels of last week's arrest of a math teacher at Hanna over allegations surfaced that he had an inappropriate relationship with a female student, yet another rumor has been confirmed that a male coach at Porter had been suspended for the same behavior.
Officers with the Brownsville Independent School District Police Department arrested Juan Chapa on Feb. 20, according to a statement from the school district. Chapa taught at Hanna Early College High School and started working for the district about 24 years ago.Chapa was charged with improper relationship between an educator and a student, a second-degree felony.
The school district placed Chapa on paid administrative leave on Jan. 28. After police arrested him, the district shifted Chapa to unpaid leave.
The epidemic of adult male coaches having inappropriate relationships with their female students has also apparently spread to Porter High School and involves a girls softball coach who was suspended after he was allegedly caught with a female student on his team.
School district officials cite confidential privacy personnel rules but other administrators confirm that the rumor is true. They, however, also refuse to confirm the name of the male coach.
As the story is told, the coach was stopped by the Texas Department of Public Safety on his way to a game in Laredo driving his private vehicle with the girl riding with him as his passenger.
Sources say that it was not the first time that this particular coach has run afoul as a result of his philandering ways, and that his wife and he divorced a few years back for that very reason.
District officials refused to comment citing an ongoing investigation.

Girls sure are horny these days. This happened rarely when I was in high school in the 80's. I guess she was trying to replace the love from her daddy that she never had. Or maybe she knows exactly what she wanted. Pretty much all coaches are morons. Throw your whole career away to bang a fat chick from southmost. This is probably common at Porter. There is an unending supply of underage girls willing to bang the teacher. Once they are successful in that effort, they have said teacher by the cajones.
What amazes me is the number of idiot teachers that are willing to lose it all for a nubile piece of ass. What total pendejos!
