.........PETE SILVA, FAMILY PATRIARCH, DIES AT 80.....

(Ed.'s Note: We were saddened to hear about the death of Pete Silva, the patriarch of the Silva family and father of our our friend Zeke. Mr. Silva died at 80 in his sleep in the bosom of his family. Once when I was in school up north, the father of one of my friends died in Saginaw, Michigan. The ladies were talking about him and the questions they asked were telling: "Did he believe in God? Was he a good father? Was he good to his family?" To all this, the response was a "yes." Such, in our culture, is the measure of a man and Mr. Silva met them all. We extend our condolences to his family. We will all miss him.)
