(Ed.'s Note: We were sent this invitation to attend the announcement by current Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz for another four-year term as the county's top law enforcement official. So far, his tenure has yielded few controversies aside from some grumbling that the office under Luis has been highly selective in it prosecutions (or lack thereof). At first we though the two seals on the card were poker chips of different denominations, but upon a closer inspection we saw that it was the same seal of the county's DA office, albeit the one on the left is somewhat tarnished indicating the tenure of the previous holder of the position, convicted DA Armando Villalobos. We thought it was a somewhat unkind cut at Mando seeing how he appointed Saenz to numerous special prosecutor gigs while he was in office and before the feds snagged him. The self-congratulatory "Doing a Great Job" on the bottom is apparently an auto estimate of his performance.The Sanez announcement follows his nemesis Carlos Masso's announcement a couple of months ago. It ain't Ali Frazier II by any means, but we can hardly wait to see what issues the Saenz campaign drums up to fight off Carlos. Let the games begin!)

sorry for the guy, he's ugly with his hairs in his mouth. As a public official he sucks. From what I've heard, nobody wants him back. Good riddance.

The fact that you are still using Villalobos as your slogan proved that you don't have enough pride to run on your abilities to win big cases. You didn't go after your niece and nephew proves to the people that you don't have integrity. The fact that A LOT of seasoned prosecutors have quit on you proves you don't have real leadership with a select few favorite employees that could never go wrong in your eyes. The fact that you have supported Republicans over democrats prove that you are not a loyal Democrat. The fact that you lied about not selling the 8liners and turned around and sold them proves that you speak to sound good but don't mean anything you say.
Your slogan should be Doing a Good Job at Lying to the people.

Voters of Cameron County...this man Saenz refuses to allow "las maquinitas" "eight Liners". He will prosecute anyone caught gambling...however, I understand he loves to race horses for money.So now you know it...if this county is ever to prosper, vote for someone who will allow gambling...no need to go to Starr County or Falfurrias or Eagle Pass or Louisiana.
