(Ed.'s Note: A water pipe bust on Windcrest near Egly Elementary today at about 3:30 pm. and it took a while for the crews from PUB to respond even though the PUB main building is about four city blocks away on Robinhood Drive. By then the water had gushed from the break (right beneath the sidewalk behind the black mailbox), and flowed south toward Egly and Oliveira past Starline and up to Robinhood three blocks away. The inadequacy of the drainage was evident in that torrents of water were still flowing three blocks away without being drained away by city grates.. The runoff made congestion at both schools worse.)
