A GOOD REASON TO STAY AWAY FROM D-TOWN TODAY

(Ed.'s Note: If you have to go downtown today, make sure you avoid the Market Square area until the city crews are done with the drainage improvements under way there. The area along E. 11th Street between Washington and Elizabeth streets is literally dug up as is the alley between the Miguelina Second-Hand Store and Los Reyes Restaurant across the street. If you don't need to venture there, don't.)

Jaja! Have you seen the Brownsville Country Club's main entrance? Work commenced on December of 2014 and took all of 2015 and three months of 2016. Til this day it still isn't complete! Many accidents, uncomfortable and potentially dangers conditions were left pending. I must also mention that while working on San Marcelo, PUB or whoever the contracting co was messed up Mayorca (which was brand spanking new!) and other side streets along with circular part of San Marcelo. I wonder if they are ever coming back to apply finishing touches such as lines etc. I sincerely hope DOwnTown Brownsville has much better luck than residents of BCC. Good grief!

Kind of hard to feel sorry for the residents of the BCC. Living in the Southmost area has left me kind of inured to the suffering and complaints of others.

Since the subject came up... What about the new highway lane and exit on the corner of Morrison and frontage. Its been more than a year and it doesn't seem they will finish before Christmas. I swear TxDot is really milking this one!!!

The city will always leave projects unfinished. They'll get 80%-90% complete, take their hats off and leave without every coming back.
