It seems that our local esteemed state rep. Rene Oliveira (who wags dubbed the Plump Partridge) was sitting at a table at his Brownsville headquarters (Cobbleheads) with a female friend when Robert Sanchez (called Capt. Bob after his seafood restaurant) arrived on the scene with a babe in tow.
Now, we are all too aware of the fact that Bob and his former mate Lorrie are in the middle of a contentious divorce and that their friends have all lined up behind them.
Well, apparently, the Capt. had heard somewhere that the Partridge had been sniffing around his former mate and had actually dated her recently.
Not one to mince words, Bob went directly to Oliveira and demanded to know whether Rene had been philandering with her.
At first the Partridge simply let his feathers get ruffled a bit and didn't answer Bob's query on whether he'd been with his ex-old lady.
This made him even madder and he asked Oliveira for the third time until Rene admitted that they had gone out to dinner once and that was about it.
At this Bob loses and asks Rene (remember, this is in the open in a public restaurant) and warns him about "messing with my family" and then asks whether he has taken care of his herpes problem.
From there on, the witnesses say that the comments directed at each other deteriorated to the point where it was F you this and F you that.
And we thought it wasn't that kind of a joint.
