The New Yorker’s new magazine cover is a very accurate representation of Donald Trump’s Swampy “presidency”: Trump, doing what he does best, golfing in his ever growing Swamp and surrounded by his Swamp things.
Let’s not forget why we see creative covers like this one. Just one example:
The cover refers to Trump’s promise to “drain the swamp” in Washington while running for office.
It comes amid a growing scandal Trump faces involving adult-film actress Stormy Daniels, who alleges that she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago.
Though the White House has denied the president carried on such an affair, Daniels is suing to void a nondisclosure agreement that she claims prevents her from speaking publicly about the affair.
She was paid $130,000 by Trump's personal attorney, Michael Cohen, prior to the 2016 election, which Daniels says was intended to keep her quiet about the affair.
Okay, another example. This one is easy, since he’s spent 24 percent of his “presidency” golfing. Add his trips to his properties into the mix and that percentage increases to 32 percent.
