OLIVEIRA BLOOD TEST IN, DA WON'T LET COPS RELEASE IT
By Juan Montoya
It's deja vu all over again.
Just as in the case of the DWI police report involving District 37 State Rep. Rene Oliveria that the Brownsville Police Dept. said they could not release pending review and approval by Cameron County District Attorney Luis V. Saenz, the same is apparently happening with the blood test ordered when he would not take the alcohol blood test.
Oliveira refused to take the Breathalyzer test last Saturday morning after he was involved in a rear-end hit-and-run late Friday after a night-long pachanga at the Cobbleheads Bar on Central Blvd. He slammed into a car being driven by a woman and then had his live-in mate follow him home and tell police that no accident had happened.
But before he left he gave one of his cards to the woman and told her he would take care of everything.
Police later found both cars – Oliveira's black Cadillac and his mate's silver Lexus – parked at his house on Jacaranda Street. When the police report was eventually released under intense pressure, officers reported that both right-side tires were flat and that there was heavy damage to the front.
When they confronted Oliveira he appeared disoriented and said he could not remember how his car was damaged or where he had been. The Brownsville Police Department told news media reps that the report would be withheld pending the review and edit by DA Saenz.
"We have been told that the police have the blood test results but that they won't release it until they get approval from Saenz," said a source close to a media outlet that requested it.
The continued apparent cover-up of evidence associated with the Oliveria DWI case seems constant. The PD has resisted news media requests for the video cam on cars, officers body cams and the tape of the booking area associated with the arrests by requesting a Texas Attorney General's opinion on whether they can be exempted.
Will the same happen to the blood test? With early voting in the runoff election beginning May 14 – this coming Monday – withholding all these proofs of intoxication and potential drug use, could very well influence the outcome.
"The treatment of this case is so different than, say, when former Brownsville mayor Pat Ahumada was arrested for DWI," said a local reporter. "In that case, police provided us with dashcam and booking desk video from one day to the next. What's the difference here?"
Oliveira held a sparsely attended get out the vote pachanga at Cobbleheads again on Thursday, the same place he was drinking the night of the accident.
Nearly 65 to 70 percent of the votes cast in local elections are cast in the early voting period.

His event looked pretty packed to me.
Pat Ahumada was a piece of shit scrub that is her to take seriously and has no pull. You go anywhere where a state rep of many years is involved and DAs handle the case very carefully to prevent interference or accusation of mishandling it. They’re very different scenarios.
to 4:51, Saenz, BPD Chief and DPS is making us sue to get the alcohol levels on a woman who killed a young man, but then was revived by EMS after being declared dead at the scene. The story is bigger - Saenz will protect the privilege and screw the defenseless if you worked against his campaign. This is wrong. I personally saw how the Saenz hand picked special prosecutor kept on sending the dPS officer away so he could not put into the record the alcohol level of his nephew. The officer told me it was over 2.0. Oliveira needs to be held accountable. But so to does Saenz. But the bigger story is how Saenz handles DWI's to protect his family, politicos and deny justice to victims he personally does not like. We have a problem Houston. On Monday I will post the obvious argument Dominguez has for why people should vote for him. When you are so determined to keep things negative you never see the simple argument which can put you over the top.
Homewrecker
I am UNTOUCHABLE cried the BLACK MAMBA Oliveria the DA will not touch me he will do as he is told and contaminate the evidence so I will walk away free. I am UNTOUCHABLE yes sir UNTOUCHABLE.
Just wait until I win, then see how #ast all this dissapear, I am UNTOUCHABLE a drunken UNTOUCHABLE BLACK MAMBA.
Untouchable you say?
Ha! Lori touches him!
Stop and see what the DA is going to do, he is covering his own back. If Oliveria wins then he has the DA by the Ball$, so he will get a slap on the wrist and told not to give his card out again. If Oliveria bites the dust, then the DA can have a field day with Oliveria. He can then change Oliveria with another 10 charges, increase his bond, disqualifie him from driving, then get Oliveria investigated for all the rumors of corruption and tax evasion, as well as being a fraud. Only time will tell what the DA has up his sleeve.
Don't cry for me Bobby WC.
The truth is I have his balls.
Do I squeeze them lightly
Or squeeze them bold.
Its up to him, to do as he is told.
Only when he is drunk, as he is never home when he is sober.
Please be more civil...
Luis Saenz will you please stop disappointing the ppl of Cameron County and do the right thing with this case. Over the last few years I have witnessed first hand how you operate. I am disgusted by the way you pick and choose who to prosecute. You went after our Tax Assessor and his employees to secure your win for re-election. These men and their families were hurt by your vindictive, retaliatory actions. You have NO business serving as our DA. You are a disgrace to our community, justice, and the law!! You and your buddy Rene need to GO!!
This person should be disqualified from running for office while these charges are still pending.
I love my girlfriend so much I have to be drunk to go home, I tell her I am campaigning, when I am really looking for new pussy.
In the event that Rene Oliveira is involved in another accident while drunk, the district attorney should be charged with adding and abetting Rene Oliveira for drunken driving.
Totally agree!!
We shall still be here drinking and driving for ever, thats what us Scumbags are good at are sticking together. The Brownsville morons will do what they are told, and put their X by Scumbag.
The D A and I are like this, as "Rear-ender Rene Oliveira" crossed his fingers, only the
D A is on the bottom. Don't forget to take one of my cards.
