Beto for President in 2020

Anonymous said...

I'm no mathematician but I think you need to have a look at your vote percentages and vote totals in the senate race. You show Cruz with 9,000,000 votes and Beto with 4,000,000 votes yet represent that they are only 2 percentage point apart. I don't think twice as many votes is 2%. Percentage is wrong or totals are wrong (hint--Its the totals}

Yeah, the women and children in the caravan really look scary. Much of fucking pussies.

I wonder if Wendy Davis has room in her retirement home for her successor Beato as this year's flop of the political cycle? Who's next in Texas to run their heads up against Trump's red wall that turns back all annoying blue waves? With Pelosi stumbling around as speaker over the next 24 months, 2020 is shaping up to crush all liberal hopes for the next decade as well.

Carlos Cascos should never have been in this race. He's a DEMOCRAT!

to 9:35, do facts bother you. Beto turned 6 Republican House Seats over the the Democrats. The Democrats who for nealy 30 years have not been able to reach beyond 40% got 47-48%. Beto won every major urban area in Texas including Tarrant County where Trump won by 9. Every Republican Justice of the Dallas Court of Appeals was sent packing last night. Beto my have lost this battle for himself, but he won the battle of the greater wall. In 2020 the Republicans one by one will be vanguished from state office.

Right now the Democrats are 5 over what they needed to take control of the House. Beto gave them 6 of those seats.

You fact resistent people always amaze me. 2020 will not be good for the Republicans in Texas.

For context in the Cascos/Trevino results, an interesting comparison can be made to the Rudy Delgado (D) / Jaime Tijerina (R) race.

A federal grand jury indicted Judge Rudy Delgado on three counts of federal bribery and three counts of violating the federal Travel Act. Delgado was arrested, placed bond, then resigned from the bench, yet his name remained on the ballot. Jaime Tijerina was appointed to replace him and was slated on the election ballot next to him.

No informed voter would choose Delgado. Delgado's numbers last night are the clearest reflection of the effect straight-ticket voting has had in our elections. Comparing Delgado's results to the Cascos / Trevino results in Cameron County.

Rudy Delgado (D) - 45,864 votes
Jaime Tijerina (R) - 29,650 votes

Eddie Trevino (D) - 45,967
Carlos Cascos (R) - 31,163

The blue straight ticket turnout just swamped, even when the candidate in question had resigned under indictment. With the end of straight ticket voting, Cascos' prospects should be greatly increased in a future run. He ran a clean race so no one has any hard feelings for next time.

Cascos will be back in 4 years God wiling. Then we will see how Eddie will do against him without the Beto Palanca ignorant vote. It’s like the First Rocky movie.... Apollo Creed was given the win, but the people knew who really won. And Apollo knew what the people were saying. And we know what happened next.

So Rob O'rourke gets a little over 4 million votes and spends somewhere between $80 - $100,000,000 million. That means he paid somewhere between $20 - $25/vote. AND HE STILL DID'NT WIN!!!!! This is laughable. And the Democrats consider it a victory because it was close. This is hilarious. And the Dems call it a blue wave? Maybe if he would have spent another $40-50 million he would have won. How long does the Valley have to have the highest unemployment and the highest poverty in the state before you people open your eyes? Someone once said something about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. You can vote Republican also. Just because your great grandfather, your grandfather and your father voted Democrat all their life does not mean you also have to. Usen la cabeza de vez en cuando. No tengan miedo de usar la cabeza.
TODO TIENE REMEDIO MENOS LO PENDEJO!

One of the reasons that the Demorats have trouble moving voters to their side is because of the ad hominem attacks not only on Conservative candidates but on the voters that support Coservatves.

Much of the debate now seems remiss of context of policy and more about Charector assassination.

Why would anyone even think about supporting a candidate or party the rubs thier face in the mud everyday.

Both parties guilty of this.

With that said bWc you made some good points but in the end you could not help your self by trying to seem superior by ragging on Conservatives or Republicans.

Just think how many more people would have given your words cedance if you would have left off you last sentence.

No party is ever going to get everything that they want, knowing how to compromise is ultimately the key to moving forward for you both parties.

I will continue to vote my conscience not a party.

BobbyWC said...

8:22: I really like your comment. It extends the discussion which as you know I always like. I do not have a problem with my last sentence. It is based on the currently known data. That could change.

My record is clear. I stand with Morgan Cisneros Graham as someone trying to unite the Republicans and cross over to more conservative Democrats. She stands as the best leader for the Republicans of Cameron County, hands down.

But all over the US Republicans ran from Trumps hatred and nonsense. We did not see that here. I get if she angers too my radicals she could lose her position. I repect her difficult position. But the voters decide not me.

I hope Morgan will look at this election and distance the Cameron County Republicans from the State and National parties. Like Cascos said, the party platforms do not apply here, It is about good policy.

As to your use of the word conservative I totally disagree. I have said over and over again, true conservatives and classically trained socialists have a lot in common. Our motivations may be different but we can agree on policy.

Cascos decision to try and create a regional approach to government is a smart fiscal policy and conservatice. But it is also socialist by combining the entities into one.

The people who dislike me are not conservative. They are idiologues hiding under the Republican and Conservative names. Morgan has been tryinig to reach out beyond these people and that is why they hate her. But this is why Morgan is the best person to lead the Cameron County Republicans. She just needs to be more vocal about Cameron County Republicans are about fiscally responsible policies which move Cameron County forward while distanting the local party from the State and National nasty fake Republicans. This will get her moderate Democrats especially if Eddie Treviño fails to get on board with this regional approach to government.

But good comment and thanks for extending this discussion.

There are really more than 3 branches of government.
Executive. Republican
Judicial. Controlled by Conservative or Republican
Legislative. House/democrat control
Senate/Republican control

3 of the 4 now controlled by Republicans with more Judical Control for Republicans in the near Future. Ruth Bader Ginsberg is not healthy and could be replaced with a nother Trump appointee.

75% Republican control Making America Great Again.

Good reason. You are a true independent thinker that looks at facts. So, you didn't vote for Cascos because you hate Trump! Spoken like a true Democrat. You sound like a very brilliant mind. You are truly what makes America great!
