SUDDENLY, A DARK HOSRE EMERGES FROM ROMAN'S STALL

By Juan Montoya

Add one more potential candidate in the City of Brownsville At-Large "A" commission seat.

Currently, there are at least three declared candidates for the position now held by incumbent Cesar de Leon.

They are Carlos Guerrero, Ismael Hinojosa, and John Cowen. Now we understand that GOP gadfly Roman Perez, aided and abetted by non other than Robert Uresti, the  perpetual burr of the saddle of the city commission have whispered sweet nothings into the ear of former U.S. Representative candidate Jessica Puente-Bradshaw to go after De Leon's position.

Some voters have said that Uresti approached them for their signature to collected the necessary John Hancocks to get her on the ballot. Perez is rumored to have designs on the campaign as treasurer and strategist, a type of behind-the-scenes Svengali.

Why Blanchard?

Image result for jessica puente blanchard, brownsvilleShe ran for th GOP nomination for U.S. Rep. District 37 nomination and in 2012. Perez also ran against District 1 incumbent Ricardo Longoria and lost.

Puente- Bradshaw was one of three Republicans seeking their party's nomination for Texas' new 34th Congressional District during the state's May 2012 primary. She finished second by about 200 votes to Adela Garza, who was then a first-term trustee at Texas Southmost College in Brownsville.

Although she has a real-estate business in Austin, where she has her homestead, she is a Matamoros native who lived in Brownsville and occasionally dons the Puente surname to run for public office.

Bradshaw then defeated Garza in the July runoff to advance to the November general election. She was soundly thrashed by Brownsville attorney Filemon Vela, who still hold that position.

Perez is said to hold a grudge against anyone associated with his former pal Tad Hasse, an IT specialist who works for the city of Brownsville and who himself lost a race for the Texas State Board of Education to Brownsvillian Ruben Cortez.

The word on the street is that Perez recruited Bradshaw to act as Cowen's foil since Cowen is related to Hasse. Uresti just loves to be in the mix.

Is this any reason to run or support anyone for public office? Well, not rellly. But remember folks. This is Brownsville. No somos chicos normales.

She looks like Prisci so much I would not vote for another one of those things. Get Brownsville citizens to run, Robert and Roman. Both of you would certainly make better candidates, sonsos!

He came. He saw. He failed in the most miserable whimpering way. A disgusting little man with little man dreams of greatness senselessy casting his body onto the craigy shards of irrelevancy with nobody to care or notice..I come not to praise Roman, but to burry him.

Roman is a trouble-making twerp who seems to have a "thing" about Ms. Puente, Bradshaw, or whatever her name is. Fortunately, her moment of fame has long passed, and her ambitions now rest in the garbage bin of times past. Maybe she should take her show on the road back to her hometown of Austin.

BURRY?
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears;
I come to praise Roman, not to burry him.

What I do not understand is how all my fellow conservative Republicans are like crabs pulling each other down. Why not unite behind Jessica Puente Bradshaw and help her in her campaign. I detect so much animosity and jealousy, it is just so unbecoming to what I envision for our local chapter of the Republican Party. To all the "professionals" writing all these nasty comments, GROW UP! No wonder there is so much discord within our local party.

Because, Roman (who is trying to sound like a Republican) She isn't going to win, shouldn't have picked this race, and will acquire the stink of loss for making such a dumb move at your prodding.
