(Ed.'s Note: This photo was sent to our email and shows – if you look carefully - a woman inside the dumpster in an alley picking out clothing items thrown away by the owners of a second-hand store with a storefront on Adams Street.
The alley is between that store and the Immaculate Conception Cathedral. We have heard of instances in the past when someone decided to sleep in one of the dumpsters only to have a garbage struck pick it up and dump the contents in its bay. With the temperatures hovering near 100 degrees, it is not inconceivable that the woman could pass out and end up in the same situation.
Notice, too, that someone also threw a tire in front of the dumpster. Not a pretty – and very dangerous – sight.)

My sources tell me everyday that those used clothes are going to JC Penneys, Juan. Great reporting. The BVD also keeps an eye out for weird shit in town and will one day post it all.

When I was a teen, I had friends that lived down on Jefferson, a couple of blocks from Immaculate. We would go down the allies, check out dumpsters. Most of the time, the CARTONEROS from Matamoros would be cleaning up the dumpsters for cardboard, we would find stuff from Abarrotes LA FRONTERA, King Mart, Triple AAA, Neisner's, Gibson's or Terry Ferrys. Sometimes BRAND NEW stuff. This was the mid 70's early 80's. Today, you go to the ally and find drunks, homeless, smell of urine or poop, Chinese junk. The bad thing about it is that the drunks, the homeless, the stink is NOT from the Mexicans from across, but from AMERICANS from this side and what have we become.
What? at 3:40pm.
This is called, recycle.
SENATOR LUCIO passed a bill for county and city officials to get money for there pay raise. This is called stealing from the innocent people of Cameron County. Vote them out of office.
I don't think it would be body oil it would be alcohol.
Maybe both, body oil and alcohol.
