(Ed.'s Note: And we thought the city bus shelters - where there are any - were bad or nonexistent. But have you ever seen how kids wait for the school buses in the morning? We were sent this admittedly grainy cell-phone photo by one of our readers who said it was of two teenage girls waiting for the school near the corner of 13th and Monroe streets. They are sitting down on the doorway of a vacant building along the sidewalk and one is wearing jeans. At first blush, this doesn't seem to be the safest way to wait for the bus to go to school.
The mornings are cool now, but we can imagine when it rains or the cold wind blows. Our thanks to one of our seven readers for this photo.)

When he was a kid, my great-grandfather walked 8 miles to school. Mexican kids want it easy. I'm not sympathetic cause the school bus is FREE!!!!
I dont know about bus stop shelters. Its a toss up, you got the people that use them. Then you have the bums that would sleep in them. Ever been to a big city yeah, Its difficult.
