What do you get when you are scammed into paying $1.3 million to the wrong vendor?
How about when you raise rates for seven years and bring in more than $150 million to pay for an electric plant that is never built but keep the rates artificially high?
And what do you get when you tell the city commission and residents that you only have $30 million of it left, give or take a million, but have a scheme on how to spend it?
How about a bought-and-paid-for Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting?

Be fair. The award doesn't say they made good decisions, it just says they were good about reporting all their bad decisions. Of course, its all bullshit. Everybody gets a ribbon.

WTF! Did PUB go to the Harlingen City Hall "juggle numbers class" when it comes to self serving reports especially when it comes to finances? Yep Montoya, how do you get a good report when you pay out over a million dollars to an unknown. Then, you don't even bother to try and retrieve it? Or, much less give the public an update on the investigation or something? Hmmm, maybe PUB knows who got the money and somehow channeling back to certain pockets! But then again, only in Brownsville!
PUB had to pay $610.00 for the award.
Wonder if somehow, someway, SPA was involved in the schemes with PUB?

Just like BISD giving awards to their Finance Dept?? SPA wanted to give BISD some type of award. The Garza lady over Finance is horrible with her classified clerks. This lady needs to retire and BISD will be so much better. No one will even miss this lady the minute she leaves. Garza ordered that expired PPE. Saving a few pennies is more important than saving lives. PUB has Leandro, BISD has Garza.
That's awesome PUB because if they let the City Manager and City Commission get a hold of PUB they would run it right into the ground with their corrupt ways..just look at the Police Department a once Proud organization now just another corrupt city department. This CITY Manager has been one of the worst Managers in the RGV. NO leadership skills whatsoever, having his Department heads read books on leadership then having meetings to talk about it. Really its like being in a book club. COME ON Brownsville open your eyes and let's stop the City commission from allowing such gross mismanagement. Let's get rid of the City Manager and all his little Thieves he has brought with him.
