I know which bars you are talking about. Too bad they didn't do curb service while we waited in line downtown this morning for the vaccine at Amigoland. Yes! The line stretched from Edelstein Park on E. 12th St. all the way to Amigoland. We literally inched our way - as in inch by inch -, avoiding school buses and garbage trucks, fighting for our place in line while interlopers tried to cut the lines from the cross streets. If it were not for a resourceful man on a bicycle who stopped to direct traffic, the buses and garbage trucks would have been cinder-blocked in this mess. Eventually a cop or two showed up but did nothing to stop the mayhem. After unsnarling a jam or two, they again left us to do battle and fight for our place in line. This was at 7 am this morning. So much for "city planning". Anyway, heads up to local bar owners and taco vendors. The 2nd city vaccination will be on March 5. You will make a killing on E. 12th Street!
